Snowball I'm sure we've all done things we're not proud of. And I've found this group to be endlessly supportive and non-judgemental.

Snowball426 · 19/02/2017 12:42

I'm so ashamed and I deserve any backlash but in I drove and crashed my car. Totally Wright off thank god no one else was involved.

CleaningLikeAMotherFucker · 19/02/2017 12:45

When was that? Are you hurt?

Snowball426 · 19/02/2017 12:46

Beginning of October. It was on a motorway I'm tiny and the air bags knock me out. Strangers pulled me out of the car.

Inarightpickleandchutney · 19/02/2017 12:47

you are safe which is the main thing, and you've learned from it, let the car thing go and take forward the relief that you are okay and got through it.

You can't change the fact that it happened but you cannot carry round the shame and guilt forever as you will use a lot more to make yourself feel better.

God I sound so up my
Own arse in sorry! I may have overdone the therapy!!!!! Grin

Inarightpickleandchutney · 19/02/2017 12:49

The 3G daily
Since the car crash was
Your turning point, sending hugs, it's going to be okay because you got out alive, honestly you must be bloody shattered going round with this in your head since October.

Thanks for sharing

Snowball426 · 19/02/2017 12:52

I'm about to loose my job aswell. Which is why I'm stressed so much

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 19/02/2017 12:52

So glad you enjoyed last night with your friends Cleaning, hope you get some work done today.

snowball there's no point torturing yourself about it. You will probably look back on it and see it as turning point. It's happened and you regret it. It doesn't make you a bad person.

Inarightpickleandchutney · 19/02/2017 12:57

Why the job? Is it redundancy or due to the snow?

serialtester · 19/02/2017 13:05

It happened snowball. You can't change it. I thought you were going to confess to armed robbery or something!

serialtester · 19/02/2017 13:09

I bet that all of us here have done stupid shit when bang on it.

OP posts:
Snowball426 · 19/02/2017 13:12

Sorry I took your advice and had a quick bath, feeling fresher!!!

I'm an area manager for a pharmaceutical company, I thought I was sharp as an eagle but apparently not. I've also been hiding my 28month driving ban. I even pretended to be into running! Really taxi to round the corner trainers on and be out of breath!!

serialtester · 19/02/2017 13:18

I'm sorry but the fact you work for a pharmaceutical company has made me laugh!! Does your employer know the truth - would coming clean about everything help the job situation? Glad the bath helped!

Snowball426 · 19/02/2017 13:21

Haha I know what you mean!!!

I'm your legal drug dealer!! My family and friends also joke about it!!!

Inarightpickleandchutney · 19/02/2017 13:24

I've been bang on it and woke up on top of an ice cream van in the next town before...
Honestly yes what you did was dangerous however carrying round the guilt for doing it will be so much worse.

Do you feel better for telling us?

serialtester · 19/02/2017 13:27

What's your plan for the afternoon snow?

OP posts:
Snowball426 · 19/02/2017 13:27

I do really feel better, not that I'm dismissing anything I've done. But just speaking about it.

Snowball426 · 19/02/2017 13:30

You know the answer. Whilst it's in the house the best option I can go for is reducing.

As we all know it would be a total lie if I said I wouldn't touch it. Also I don't feel I need to lie to yous.

Inarightpickleandchutney · 19/02/2017 13:34

Good to hear it snowball, give the spacing it out a go.

Write random posts here or maybe in a notebook or something, helps when you think your head will explode with too much thinking.

Have you lost weight? Is that why your work thinks you are into running?

I've got to go out shortly but really hope you feel more positive and please do not have any shame, I guarantee either me or
Someone else on here will have done worse!

Have you read the book Rachel's holiday?

Snowball426 · 19/02/2017 13:38

The running is just an excuse as my car is no where to be seen.

This maybe a daft questions but are most people on here around my age, going through the same shit?

Inarightpickleandchutney · 19/02/2017 13:40

I am nearly 40

INeedAWittyNameChange · 19/02/2017 13:40

Snowball sorry you're having such a hard time of it. I think telling us about the car crash is a good start to moving past it - yes it happened and it was bad but you can't beat yourself up about it forever.
If it's a large company you work for, do they have some kind of employee assistance programme you could contact for support?

Snowball426 · 19/02/2017 13:47

I'm 36.

Thank you. It's been something I could barely speak about as I never thought I would be one of those people. But I have been.

As for work. They would not and should not tollorate it. I like to say that until May I hadn't touched it in 10yrs.

serialtester · 19/02/2017 13:59

And maybe by this may you'll be off it again. Finish what you've got and make a reduction plan for the future. You can do this snow.

I must admit I thought your terrible confession was going to be armed robbery or you were going to say you'd kidnapped a man and he was tied up in your shed. Shock
(sorry my mind works in mysterious ways) Grin

Remember, you want to change, remind yourself why you want to change. Adopt a mantra you can keep repeating to yourself and don't think too far ahead and the moment. Flowers
