Oh lord if any of you can help i would be soooooo grateful.

i have green metallic glasses, right? looooovely ones, mikli/starck etc cost a freakin' fortune. and i am wearing a pink dress to a wedding (IN FRANCE, SODDING GOLD TRADERS APLENTY, THE POTENTIAL FOR SNOOTINESS ABOUNDS).

aaaanyway... it's only after coming home i realise that those glasses pop a little against the pink. fine, i like pop. so without running the risk of looking too matchy-matchy i thought maybe a green clutch and some green OR gold shoes. however, the woman in JL (yes, i know) said that i HAD to get green shoes as gold not appropriate (even with humungous gold zipper and potential for green and gold accessorising at wrist).

aaaand, oh i don't know. i'm just blethering. do you like my dress?

have any of you seen any nice green shoes lately? i've got good pins, can carry off a heeled glad-type thing. did try these on today and they are MASSIVELY comfortable but ever so slightly mumsy in the heel imo.

any advice?

Huzzah. There are some Karen Millen green strappies on ebay, depending on what size you are ?

I'm not a nude fan personally

I think gold would be fine although do rather love the green ones I linked to.

I would also do a bright pink toe nails.

oooh traceybath's ones are lurvely in green. I like.

wubblybubbly · 16/06/2010 21:32

carvelas in jade with gold heels

Only £59!

Aitch · 16/06/2010 21:32

although ooooooooh at traceybath's sandals...

lol maam at 'for those occasions when only the best will do' for £24.99.

i would prefer sandals, and i would prefer ones that would stay on. basically i've got two weddings to go to, one french country with lots of stomping about between venues, one in england with small children.

tell me what was so very wrong with the carvelas, they're in the sale and they stay on. they're not my bliss point shoe, for sure, but are they utterly vile? they look less homely on, to be fair.

I do love a bit of nude patent though but it needs to be £££ to avoid looking cheap.

Or controversially how about a bit of leopard - could look good . . .

wubblybubbly · 16/06/2010 21:33

oops, same link as MaamRuby!

lovely dress Aitch
wouldnt 'do green shoes though. how about an animal print? or nude. not gold

Aitch · 16/06/2010 21:51

not doing nude, would consider animal... why not gold, do you think?
or... what about pink?

OP posts:
Aitch · 16/06/2010 21:52

at this rate i'm going to have a tantrum and yank out the silver wedges, you know... how bad, silver with gold zip?

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 16/06/2010 21:55

yes, I was just going to suggest pink, but a sort of muted, dusty darkly kind of pink.

The kind of pink, that doesn't go POP at all on account of the green glasses and clutch giving all the pop you need imo

Tillyscoutsmum · 16/06/2010 21:55

I think gold or pink would be fine (but not the first gold ones you linked to - sorry !)

PrimroseCrabapple · 16/06/2010 21:56

i find myself strangely drawn to these

ahundredtimes · 16/06/2010 21:57

Well, they're certainly irregular as advertised

I keep going to look at those VW shoes tether linked to, I can't stop staring at the ball on the end

Aitch · 16/06/2010 21:58

i cannot help you , primrose... they are the shoes of a fool.

okay, yes, pink then. is anyone still here to help me with pink. and lol at those first carvelas, tilly, they are horrid on the shelf as well but looked pretty nice on. but i fear i will never convince you all, and i can of course see why.

OP posts:
Tillyscoutsmum · 16/06/2010 22:00

pink & green

gold

more gold

Aitch · 16/06/2010 22:00

yes, 100x, you can see the future in them. and the future is that i fookin' will not be buying them.

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 16/06/2010 22:01

I'll go and have a look for you

but I never find anything anyone likes, as I actually don't know anything about it

while I do, go look at those VW shoes in the peach/blue and then tell me whether just looking at them isn't a little bit startling and disturbing?
