classy.

WorzselMummage · 14/05/2010 19:08

That leather bracelet is lovely except for the fact it's got the designers name plastered alover it.

LadyGardenia · 14/05/2010 19:09

Mmmm agree about the stamped name, would be much nicer without. Do like it, though.

expatinscotland · 14/05/2010 19:18

is the name really that visible, though.

laurie's going to get one.

she can come back and tell us.

noddyholder · 14/05/2010 19:35

i have this which I loveAll dyrberg kern is lovely though

victoriascrumptious · 14/05/2010 19:38

I've never even heard of any of these things! I'm really not being snotty here at all but sometimes I feel like a live in another world, I don't get where you learn about this stuff. The glass beads are very pretty but Pandora beads which replaced troll beads which replaced sweetie bracelets???? Have I been living on the moon or is this a Southern English thing. Did you hear about it from magazines or is it a school gate thing amongst women of a certain income or what?

Please tell me

ruddynorah · 14/05/2010 19:47

no i mean 16 and 17 year olds. honest

my neice is getting one for her 17th birthday in june from her parents. then all the charms she wants are on her birthday list

she says it is the current 'in' thing. by the look of her facebook it certainly is.

ticktockclock · 14/05/2010 19:51

I got one as a gift from MIL when I had DD. It got filled with charms from DH and various IL's.

I got a few charms that I liked and mixed some of the charm brands depending on what I liked.

Like it cause the charms represent me and things about me.

cyb · 14/05/2010 19:53

thats nice nodders

and to answer the poster who said 'how the hell do you know about this stuff? You chat to your friends who have one, see stuff in mags, shops, etc etc

I have one with about 15 charms - had it a year or so. There aren't any twee 'best friends' ones with Pandora - that must be another brand.

sorry Laurie I love Pandora but you've gotta admit that is pretty erm twee

Lauriefairycake · 14/05/2010 21:24

That's not a Pandora bead

That's a fake pandora bead

Lauriefairycake · 14/05/2010 21:26

here's the actual pandora list

expatinscotland · 14/05/2010 21:28

But you are getting the real leather bracelet, right, Laurie? So you can come back and tell us if the stamped name on it sticks out too much.

Lauriefairycake · 14/05/2010 21:32

I might

and then I'll post a pic of it round my ankle for you all

expatinscotland · 14/05/2010 21:36

NNoooooo. Just go fondle is and see if it's tacky in real life.

mistressploppy · 14/05/2010 21:50

Wow, sparked a debate! Thanks peeps!

I'm going to have a look here (because it's where my engagement ring and our wedding rings came from and I love their other stuff, they do links AND Trollbeads as well)

I have 2 of the Antionio Ben Chimol bracelets, a distressed silver, which is the nicest, and the gold one linked to earlier. The gold is very different to the silver, the leather was stiff and very shiny. But I have 'distressed' it buy soaking it in a glass of water for the last 2 days! It's now much softer and the gold is more muted. The name is stammped on the gold one but not the older one. It's not really noticible.

They are lovely bracelets. I buy them from My Violet Hill, they are very efficient and send my discount codes from time to time - hence the second bracelet

jenduff · 14/05/2010 23:30

oh no Laurie please don't say thats a dodgy site - its beeen recommended lots so its where I bought from.

Although now I've accidentally got a few items in a basket in swag

ClaireDeLoon · 15/05/2010 13:38

Of course the best friends one is a proper Pandora. I saw it in the Pandora shop on Oxford St. they're hardly going to sell fakes.

SuSylvester · 15/05/2010 15:14

are oyu only BF if you haev a bead to say it?

ClaireDeLoon · 15/05/2010 17:46

Yeah but it's OK, if you fall out you can officially 'de-bead' them.

SandylovesZsadist · 15/05/2010 19:38

I got one for my 40th - love it - just planning to fill with charms that people buy me as the years go buy - the kids have already bought some for birthday, mothers day etc and I would rather have that then buy my own beads.
