Anyone got it?

Was delivered today - and I haven't got a clue how to put it on!

It makes no sense whatsoever, whichever way I try to wear it.

And I can't return it because I had to wash it before I'd even tried it on because my stupid dog weed on it.

Disaster.

Help!

you shouldn't ahve bought an origami dress

NorbertDentressangle · 13/04/2010 21:37

lol - I'm wondering how on earth you manage with really complicated items of clothing like sleepsuits with lots of poppers

fishie · 13/04/2010 21:38

it has eaten poor bobbie

cyteen · 13/04/2010 21:39

Maybe I have no shame, but if I'd paid good non-refundable money for a nice dress that's what I would do. I have often perved over their parachute dresses, both instore and online, but fuck knows how one is supposed to put them on. If I had enough money to buy one, I would have enough front to ask.

NorbertDentressangle · 13/04/2010 21:40

I think you should phone them and tell them that the instructions were missing.

Shaz10 · 13/04/2010 21:41

Is it called Poseidon because it's worn upside down? (like the film )

MerlinsBeard · 13/04/2010 21:41

its only no refundable because she washed it

has she got stuck?

poppy34 · 13/04/2010 21:42

On my computer it seems to have some links that if you run over shows you it with neck drape up close. The middle one seems to show what you do basically -then you pull it forward and drape it..

link

I haven't got it but had similar thing (wrappy halter neck thing from maxmara no not got it but had similar thing (wrappy halter neck thing from maxmara that I eventually got so friggin sick of that I gave away).

cyteen · 13/04/2010 21:44

mom, what difference does it make why the money is non-refundable? She's stuck with it, therefore the options are find a way to wear it or stick it on ebay.

I'm amazed that people find the idea of asking shop staff so objectionable.

MrsShu · 13/04/2010 21:45

all saints looks like the left overs after a nuclear disaster imo

MrsShu · 13/04/2010 21:45

bobbie its mingings
and its £££

bobbiewickham · 13/04/2010 21:46

Hi, sorry, ds needed a story!

I've tried pulling the drapey thing forward, but there's just too much material, and it looks crap.

It also looks amazingly, knicker-revealingly short when you wear it like that.

I wondered if it had shrunk, but I don't think so - I handwashed it in very cool water, and it appears to be the same length as before.

And the secondary armholes are a bit armpit/side of boob revealing.

Dare I send it back and Not Mention The Wee?

MerlinsBeard · 13/04/2010 21:46

very true cyteen

MrsShu - i don' like it either but each to their own

cyb · 13/04/2010 21:47

I would send it back

You cant post on here every time you want to get dressed. Bung a bit of tissue paper in it

bobbiewickham · 13/04/2010 21:47

I love the dress in theory, MrsShu.

Just crap in practice.

I know, it was very £££ - I bought it half thinking I would send it back.

Then the fucking labradoodle wazzed on it.

OP posts:
Hassled · 13/04/2010 21:47

Definately. There was no wee and you haven't got a dog. Dresses that expensive shouldn't be like the Krypton Factor. Send it back.

animula · 13/04/2010 21:49

I'm following this thread with fascination.

Bobbiewickham - you'd better come back and tell us how it's going.

do you know any engineers?

animula · 13/04/2010 21:52

Gah! Late and missd update.

Course you can send it back. all sorts of things happen in the post. If anyone rings you and asks if you/animal weed on it - be affronted!

But are you sure it's not just buyer's remorse?

Try it on tomorrow with leggings, maybe?

OrientCalf · 13/04/2010 21:53

i think if you can get it the right way round then the furthest back holes are the arm holes

bobbiewickham · 13/04/2010 21:53

No remorse here! I would wear it with leggings or even skinnnies.

If I could get the bitch on.

OP posts:
OrientCalf · 13/04/2010 21:54

ah cross-posted

bobbiewickham · 13/04/2010 21:55

But the armholes are vertical - that's what's weird. You seriously can't get your arms through both holes without nearly killing yourself.

I think it might be going back...I might say I couldn't get it on and it smelt a bit of wee....

OP posts:
fishie · 13/04/2010 21:55

send it back. i love it so but how can it possibly be flattering? the most lovely fabric.

southeastastra · 13/04/2010 21:56

there's one on ebay, but with no picture (wonder why )

maybe you could ask her how it works

bobbiewickham · 13/04/2010 21:57

The print is completely gorgeous isn't it?

I even pondered the possibility of taking it to a dressmaker and getting it remodelled, but at that price, should you have to?
