Anyone know of one that stays on? Also any tips on Goth-wear appreciated?
I'm not a goth but my friend gets dressed up for this and I really fancy going. She'll help me but be nice to hear other's ideas

Oooh you've got lovely hair

you look great

I was an old-school goth and always wore bright red lipstick. Outlined in black though IIRC. I have a Chanel lipstick now but could never afford that at the time!

Just looked at your pics, DH (also ex-old-school goth) asked if that was how you normally look, which shows you must have got it right - some 'real' goths look like they're in fancy dress IMO.

Hope you have a great time!

Thanks for the compliments

I could easily look like this all the time to be honest as am quite an outgoing person. My hair-colour is natural but am going to put a semi-permanent on it to darken it slightly for the weekend.

Are you going to the official Spa event or just hanging out around Whitby?

(Oh & yes you can buy a Rhombus CD - Rhombus

You can't miss us really - dh is the big bloke in the hat, I'm er, the big lass with the long black hair...probably wearing black

Curiousmama · 09/04/2010 13:44

Thanks Raven AK, I'll get the cd and look out for you although think you need a sign saying hiya CM Although you know what I look like so you have an advantage I'll try to recognise your dh though if we go in there. Do you pay entrance?

Not in the day - £45 for a weekend ticket if you want to see the bands in the evenings, but there's stalls & so on in the day time.

thanks ravenAK.

The dress is on it's way. Corset my friend bought me was too big in the cups. I'll get a look of some sort together I'm sure?

The dress has arrived! It's lovely and looks like it'll fit Only thing is it's very long, I'm 5'8" and it's long for me so am going to have to find some high heels if I wear it for WGW.

Havingkittens · 16/03/2011 14:18

Why don't you send an email to the organisers via the Whitby Goth Weekend website?

sinster · 16/03/2011 15:09

I like the idea of wearing something like an old wedding dress and chunky boots.
