Mine are:

Ankle boots do not go with everything! In fact they go with very little.

Denim skirts are always wrong.

Booboobedoo · 30/03/2010 13:01

Lots of mine on here already.

No baseball caps. On anyone.

Crop tops over muffin tops.

MrsMeow · 30/03/2010 13:17

Thought of another; just because it's fashionable and all the WAGs are wearing it, doesn't mean it suits you

Lastyearsmodel · 30/03/2010 13:18

So glad others object to double denim, leopard print and the many legging faux pas.

But... cropped trousers? Wtf do you wear if it's hot, skirts are impractical and shorts are impractical due to awful legs? Is a long crop better? In my defence, I do have long legs... And can I be let off this summer cos I'm pg?

thatsnotmymonkey · 30/03/2010 13:24

combat trousers should be burned.
tailored combat trousers should be nuked

block colour eye-shadow up to your eyebrow is just wrong wrong wrong!

ballet flats should not be worn until they are falling apart and flapping around

if your trousers start to fray and rip at the hem from trailing on the ground, get rid. they look tatty and make you look cheap. not hippy and bohemian.

Chandon · 30/03/2010 13:25

PLease tell me, what IS wrong with denim skirts? They are my favourite summer wear !!!

(I have two, just above knee, fitted, am 6ft, size 12, I think it looks o.k....)

DebiNewberry · 30/03/2010 13:28

Nothing is wrong with denim skirts.

Wear what you like. In the right size (agree with that one) but other than that fuck it.

thighsmadeofcheddar · 30/03/2010 13:28

Jeans that are the right length. It's not hard.

I also don't like gold necklaces over polo necks. Looks weird.

Kneazle · 30/03/2010 13:52

badly fitted bras that make you look like you have four boobs

MaMight · 30/03/2010 14:15

I have often read on Mumsnet of the dreaded 4 boob look, but have never noticed it in real life. 4 boobs how? Is it because the bra is too small?

Fimbow · 30/03/2010 14:25

Camel toe.

Nobody above a size 12 should wear white trousers ever. I saw a seriously obese person in some last year and it was gross, especially as she didn't appear to be wearing any form of underwear and the bum cheeks were wibbling from side to side.

Stonewash jeans should be outlawed especially when worn with naffola black small heeled black boots.

Microfleeces are almost acceptable for a day at the park etc but bulky horrid ones especially with animals on them are just rank.

Mini skirts if you are not slim.

Anyone who looks like Liz McDonald from Corrie.

Ronaldinhio · 30/03/2010 14:28

short sleeve jackets
shortsleeve shirts on men, especially if they also have pen pockets
most "safari" suits
shirt dresses on almost anyone
per una
uggs
crocs
cheap, sparkley tat

Ronaldinhio · 30/03/2010 14:31

also bras in too small a back size causing rolls of flesh

v skinnies with chicken chest and neck wearing anything low cut

v fatties with lunar cellulite wearing sportswear that will never go near a sport

Fimbow · 30/03/2010 14:33

this type of thing

SheWillBeLoved · 30/03/2010 14:33

Tank tops which don't go past the waist look horrendous unless you're 18 and have a washboard stomach.

Wearing trainers when you aren't exercising does not make you look young and cool, sorry.

Ugg boots, fake or not. The clue is in the name. Ugg-ly.

Fishnet tights.

Toes and toe fat peeking out of shoes which are obviously far too tight.

thatsnotmymonkey · 30/03/2010 15:06

oh god, yeah fat toe!!

MinnieMalone · 30/03/2010 15:14

Disagree with loads of these...

Mine:

Black boots with blue jeans (especially blue bootcuts over black boots)

Gap between top and bottoms when not a size 8, 16 yr old cheerleader-type

Per Una. Oi, NO!

ShadeofViolet · 30/03/2010 15:23
SuSylvester · 30/03/2010 15:26

ooh i love a fish net pop sock under a grey wool trews

MaMight · 30/03/2010 15:29

Fimbow, was that a four-boob link for me? I can't open it because I am in the Middle East and it is a banned site.

Surf safely boys and girls!

SuSylvester · 30/03/2010 15:33

its when you have splurge off the top of the cup and fatunderneath

surely not hard to find!

purplepeony · 30/03/2010 15:34

droopy calf length skirts worn with flesh coloured tights and low court shoes.

old(er) women wearing strappy tops in summer showing off flappy arms and crepy cleavage

overweight people wearing anything like a blowsy tent- they think they look thinner but really they just look like a tent.

white shoes except in the height of summer and preferably in the Med.

white socks showing between too-short "classic" denims and court shoes.

pagwatch · 30/03/2010 15:35

You must only dress for one season in any one outfit.

Ugg boots worn with shorts and a camisole top and then a scarf make you seem too thick to look out of the window and make an educated guess.

SuSylvester · 30/03/2010 15:36

cheap cotton
i hate cheap cotton

InThisSequinBraYesYouOlaJordan · 30/03/2010 16:03

Just because they make it in your size does not mean you should wear it remembers handkerchief tops in sizes 16-30 in Evans a few years back - disclaimer: I am not slim at all.

Sportswear is for doing sportswear - particularly if you are above a size 14 - get some properly fitting clothes.

Uggs - no, it's short for Ugly.

BariatricObama · 30/03/2010 16:05

doing matchy matchy with any member of your family, you are not part of an all singing all dancing variety act
