It needs a structured jacket otherwise too bridemade or worse wag!

ShowOfHands · 21/02/2010 21:28

Nah, everybody at a ball looks like a bridesmaid who has lost her groomsman. It's perfectly acceptable for a ball.

I probably wouldn't wear it to a wedding though unless you really disliked the couple and wished to be stabbed with a hatpin by the mother of the bride.

KentuckyFriedPenguin · 21/02/2010 21:31

a structured jacket would look STUPID

I like it

Not for me but i do like it.
It is rather caribeean bridesmaidy though

KentuckyFriedPenguin · 21/02/2010 21:33

As in you are at a wedding IN the caribeean and are the bridesmaid

noddyholder · 21/02/2010 22:23

Stupid? What do you mean that doesn't make sense! It might not look traditional maxi dress but it would look current and give the dress an edge imho like in the link

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 21/02/2010 22:43

I knew I could trust you lot to confuse me!!

It looks ridiculous to wear a tailored jacket with that kind of dress. Just because it's current doesn't mean it looks good, even the model looks daft.

noddyholder · 22/02/2010 10:35

Ok matter of opinion though what looks good and the op did like it! just thought using the word stupid to describe clothes was strange
