Maybe for a ball at the Uni?? I still can't believe it was reduced to £20!

Oh the shock!

I'm 5 foot 2 with brown hair if this helps??

I'm 32 but look younger (apart from the easily fixed grey hair).

TrillianAstra · 20/02/2010 18:59

I love it

(also young)

OurLadyOfPerpetualSupper · 20/02/2010 19:09

I like it but wouldn't wear it (old).

I think people who don't like it are basing that on whether it would suit them, or whether they normally wear that romantic, feminine style of clothing.

Some people suit that style, some don't.

If that's your style (and you're skilful enough to take up that complicated hem), go for it.

nailpolish · 20/02/2010 20:13

would make some super cushions, if you have smallish windows you could even make matching curtains

or a draught excluder
or a pillow if you have a dog with a bed

get sewing girl!

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 20/02/2010 20:41

Thankyou for the suggestions nailpolish.

Thankyou OurLady

I think you are getting a taste of the mn bitchiness in some of the responses.

I think the dress is a lovely colour, I am not keen on the ribbon/opening at the back - it would make me feel too exposed.

heQet · 20/02/2010 22:06

I'm sure you will look nice in it. And if you like it, and you feel good in it, that's what matters, isn't it?

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 20/02/2010 23:03

I've been on here for a three years now so I'm use to the abrupt responses from some, I've probably been guilty myself at some point

Thankyou

I quite like the ribbony bits, and the colour.
Wear with confidence!

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 20/02/2010 23:26

I should have a couple of bottles glasses of wine, stick it on and put some pictures on here

Hangingbellyofbabylon · 20/02/2010 23:35

I think it's lovely and even better that it was a total bargain.

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 20/02/2010 23:39

Thankyou. I don't think I'd wear it to parents functions at the school though, not even the black tie ones

shockers · 21/02/2010 14:42

Looking forward to those pics... specially if you look plastered

noddyholder · 21/02/2010 14:52

worn like this it could look cool A dark blazer and heels and a bare face with bright lipstick would be really pretty.

EllieMental · 21/02/2010 15:07

CRYSTAL MIDI HIPBAND HALTERNECK DRESS TEAL&products_image=www.buycharas.com/images/asdfffeasdf.jpg from the same website, wtf is she doing?

psychomum5 · 21/02/2010 15:14

if you like it thats what counts belle

and if we all liked or hated the same thing we wouldn;t have the fun we have on MN at times would we.

I don;t like it that much TBH, but the colour is very much not me, nor the style, so I am looking at it from 'me wearing it' point of view (IYGWIM).

have you got it yet?? where did you get it from, as on the link it is full-priced. (which is way too much at that price).

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 21/02/2010 19:33

I like that noddy. I have really pale skin though so it would make me look more washed out (I need a fake tan!!)

I found it in a little shop in Derby, they had 3 of them in different sizes on a rail of things reduced to £20.

ShowOfHands · 21/02/2010 19:38

Fluffy, I love it. It's super. Ignore fishface and those of her ilk who'd have you all trussed up in their middle-aged fripperies given half the chance.

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 21/02/2010 19:40

Thankyou.

OP posts:
noddyholder · 21/02/2010 20:27

The girl in the pic is pale I think that is what makes it look so cool.Might be a bit more bridesmaid with a (fake) tan

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 21/02/2010 20:29

But I'm white sometimes, almost ghostlike

OP posts:
OurLadyOfPerpetualSupper · 21/02/2010 21:11

Noddy's jacket idea is fab!

I'm really pale but I've had my colours 'done' and dark navy is one of the best on me. And there seem to be loads of navy blazers around atm.

ShowOfHands · 21/02/2010 21:17

Don't put a jacket over it. Especially not that navy one. You'll look like it's the end of the school disco, you're dizzy with Diamond White fumes and some chancer has given you his blazer in what he thinks comes across as a chivalrous gesture but is in fact no better than a spaniel marking its territory.

The only thing that could make beautiful dress and jacket combo look worse was if you clutched your shoes in your hand and stumbled a bit through a muddy puddle.

Givenchy · 21/02/2010 21:21

'middle-aged fripperies' meow

PurplePillow · 21/02/2010 21:21

Well Fluffy I think its gorgeous
