Ladies, welcome to Spring

LTEC Lovely dress. Would it stay up on someone with little boobs ?

Choo - Hope your DD is better and out of hospital soon.

MarshaBrady · 06/02/2010 18:26

Am back after long day out. Thanks for telling me about your black boots carciofi. I'm guessing none of you others have them?

I took them back anyway and got the Vivienne Westwood beige suede boots because it will be spring soon and they better for SS. More expensive, credit note ended up costing me a fortune.

Still in love with the Ralph Lauren jacket (I know it looks crap in the Saks pic), looks a million dollars on, well it should for its price. As dh said 'live the dream Marsha, live the dream'

LetThemEatCake · 06/02/2010 19:18

oh that's why I started talking about boots... sorry marsha - yes, I have a pair of black suede knee highs which I love, have had them for 16 years!! Very impressed with your fortitude in braving Oxford St and its environs on a Saturday; even more impressed with your dh!!

redliquorice yes, absolutely it stays up on the flat chested small-busted lady - I am a 34B!!!!

tracey you do make me laugh with your inner Liz. Have you found a red dress yet?

OP posts:
hellsbelles · 06/02/2010 19:22

choo girl - so sorry about your poorly DD...hope she has speedy recovery.

Marsha - I have some siegerson morrison black boots with silver studs up the side which I love and wear to death.

LTEC - hurrah that you got through day with in-laws.

DS's party went very well but at 'feeding' time was mayhem. I am now dreading DD getting to that age. I'm used to DS and the fact he is relatively straight forward...but oh my goodness...the girls. I know this is a huge generalisation but they are a pain in the neck. They get so emotional about everything and you spend the whole time sorting them out. Urghhhhhhh.

Anyway - I'm now laying prone on the sofa recovering

LetThemEatCake · 06/02/2010 19:26

carciofi - we are moving to Bondi!! (dh surfs and loads of our friends live there. also a good place to be, networking-wise, for both us in our lines of work) But can be quite insular and traffic can be a bit crap, esp on weekends and driving into CBD at rush hour.

St Ives is not central at all - very far up the North Shore, much bigger commute into CBD, if that's where you work.

Lower North Shore (where I grew up) very good for location, schools etc - big blocks of land, big houses, easy access to beaches and CBD alike. Is a tiny bit conservo, that's the only thing.

would love to see a pic of your dress!!

Cheers Cake-o. Ach it was ok really -there is a car park in Old Burlington St, walk down Conduit then you're there. Highly recommend it, never getting bendy bus to Liberty again.

blossoming · 06/02/2010 19:29

Hi all, hope the dcs are in bed soon and you can all start drinking wine (again!)
ltec - re aigle wellies, sorry about that but a size 22 is really little, like a 4 I think.
I think you're right about that top looking samey with my jeans. Ah well I've a week to keep looking
Anyone else going out for valentines? What are you wearing?

blossoming · 06/02/2010 19:34

Anyone seen this one? I wonder how long it is?

hellsbelles · 06/02/2010 19:38

blossoming - it's such a pain isn't it when they don't put them on models so you can't work out proportions.

LTEC - gorgeous dress. Alas I had to give up strapless about 35 years ago . My Décolletage (I love that word) is just not up to it.

Now I want this one .
I'll need to sell a lot more frumpy clothes before I can afford that
Right I'm off to open the vino for when dh comes home. Honestly, London is wasted on men.

GeorginaWorsley · 06/02/2010 20:00

I quite like the LK Bennett top, blossoming.
My Marks indigo collection jeans arrived
www.marksandspencer.com/Perfect-Indigo-Collection-Cotton-Below/dp/B002I5UK8W?ie=UTF8&qid=1265486191& categoryNodeID=42967030&ref=sr13&page=&node=122288031&sr=1-3&mnSBrand=core&rh=
and are great!
Lovely soft denim, great colour, perfect fit on tummy, just right length for wearing with flats.Which is what I wanted them for.
Thanks to blossoming who I think first recommended them??

LetThemEatCake · 06/02/2010 20:24

blossoming I like them both but would not be willing to invest molto moola on asymmetric; it won't be around forever. I'm constantly toying with notion of selling this as I don't get enough wear out of it ... I've got it in fuschia if you're interested.

hana yes that's exactly what it is!! Metallic flats and a cocktail and you're done. Having said that, I wore it a few times with flip flops and a denim jacket by day - equally as good. £25? It's hardly worn, I tended to favour the charcoal one last summer.

OP posts:
Redliquorice · 06/02/2010 20:35

LTEC - yes, but I am really small up top...34A. Do you think I'd be constantly hoinking it up??

If not, then I am very interested in the purple dress. Although if you'd rather keep that and ditch the charcoal then I'd give that a go too

LetThemEatCake · 06/02/2010 21:06

Gosh, I just looked at your pics - you are gorgeous!!

I think it would be okay ... you could always send it back to me if not ..

I think I'd rather keep the charcoal, so you're welcome to the purple

OP posts:
Redliquorice · 06/02/2010 21:11

LETC - Oh gosh I'm blushing now! (Excuse the dodgy Felix t-shirt in my profile photo. I lived in Dhaka at the time and was at a "Red Party"..it was the only red thing I could find in the shops!!). Okidoki, I'd love to go for the purple and if it falls to my feet everytime I move, I'll let you know! What do you want to do about payment?

LetThemEatCake · 06/02/2010 21:14

paypal? c'est possible?

OP posts:
Redliquorice · 06/02/2010 21:22

Paypal would be perfect, just send me your details and I'll arrange immediate payment and give you my address. Thanks ever so much, you've just made my night!! Must go now to look for suitably glamorous metallic flats!

LetThemEatCake · 06/02/2010 21:25

well by jove that was easy!!

Hana, I will let you know immediately if red rejects the dress, you are next in line!!

red - it's [email protected]

OP posts:
geordieminx · 06/02/2010 21:32

Blossoming - love the E&J, but agree tis a lot for something that you might not get more than one season out of.

LTEC - Dress is lovely, but probably not so lovely on 5"1 self

Red - Just seen that you are in Scotland - I'm just outside Glasgow?

Might give the m&s jeans a bash at that price - Georgina - what length did you get and how tall are you?

Choo - Hope your dd is better soon.

I got this yesterday, tis very nice, am currently wearing with denim mini, black t and biker boots. Bargin-tastic at £15

Redliquorice · 06/02/2010 21:40

LTEC - payment is winging it's way to you as I type!

GeordieMix - I'm in South Lanarkshire, so not too far from you

geordieminx · 06/02/2010 21:47

I'm in south lanarkshire too....

LetThemEatCake · 06/02/2010 21:48

thanks red - got it!!

will post Monday.

minx - nice cardi! where are your biker boots from

OP posts:
geordieminx · 06/02/2010 21:53

No idea re boots - they are older than the hills - at least 5 years ago, but they have worn so well, and are dead comfy cosy.

Bit like rockets but not, bought in Ibiza per chance?
