Yes is very naff name, got it in Space NK, went in to buy Laura Mercier or Chantecaille, none of the colours were right so bought this one. Their undereye concealer is very good as well, beter than touche eclat.

I gulped a bit when handed over card at the till.

GetOrfMoiLand · 07/11/2009 18:31

lol at 'can't take it seriously as a brand', you sound like Margaret Mountford fgs

GetOrfMoiLand · 07/11/2009 18:33

Must admit when saw dd with her fingers in the foundation I shouted a bit.

She is 14, she shouldn't expect luxury make up at that age, Rimmel or Miss Sporty for her.

AuntieMaggie · 07/11/2009 18:57

I am completely with you on the winter foundation front - my estee lauder double wear light was too dark today

have been using sample of lancome one that someone on here recomended before that and avon everlasting (also a sample) which i was very surprised with how good it was

saintmaybe · 07/11/2009 19:32

Ah, just tried out vitalumiere as my new winter foundation today!

didn't realise it was an actual change of the seasons day.

I've used clarins for years, but I'm liking this very much, it does look 'brighter'. I wanted to walk about in daylight with it on and see how it lasts, and I am Impressed.

largeginandtonic · 07/11/2009 20:09

Awww TMAM thinks i'm youthful and dewy.

Are you MAD.

IK thought i was waaaaaaaay older

Chanel counter for me next week then. I don't wear blush. Should i?

IK when are you free for bossing me around shopping?

Not that i would complain, i like it.

Themasterandmargaritas · 07/11/2009 20:15

I'm the prune to your peach Ginwoman.

hf128219 · 07/11/2009 20:20

Is Vital Lumiere better than Pro Lumiere?

largeginandtonic · 07/11/2009 20:23

You are no prune

madmissy · 08/11/2009 09:13

think the lumirers depend on the skin type that you have and possiblythe coverage. i went to the counter yesterday and have got the pro to try out as i like full coverage but i didnt want it too creamy as although i get dry patches if its too heavy i get oily in my norm areas!

smugmumofboys · 08/11/2009 09:26

cornsilk I have the Guerlain stuff but in balls. They last for yonks and do indeed smell of Parma violets.

I use it as a kind of blusher/general glowiness enhancer.

The compact is very purdy.

madmissy · 08/11/2009 09:31

ruby&millie do lovely blushers

cornsilkwearscorsets · 08/11/2009 09:54

smugmum will it make me look 19?

LaurieScaryCake · 08/11/2009 10:24

I have to mention Bourjois Rose Brune blusher(there are other colours) -I have just bought my second pot running yesterday - I used it when younger and then spent about 10 years trying out a load of expensive brands and giving them away (Nars the multiple, the Calvin Klein one, prada little tubes). None were ever as good as £6.95 Bourjois one.

brimfull · 08/11/2009 11:46

LaurieScaryCake-yes that bourjois blush is the best by far. I have been using it for yrs and no have dd hooked.
Keep trying cream blush but this one looks much more natural despite being powder and lasts ages .

MayorNaze · 08/11/2009 11:58

ah. i can relate to this. bought perfect skin matching bobbi brown foundation back in march and then had to watch it become chalky as i got browner

now i am all pale and interesting again and have nice dewy skin

don't like foundation in summer - too sweaty and pore clogging

smugmumofboys · 08/11/2009 12:39

Yes of course it will cornsilk.

InterruptingKid · 08/11/2009 18:17

Mayor that is it yes.
