the holy grail. Perfect for school run then on to lunch with friend?

I've just ordered mine and I intend to wear it over jeans and converse sometimes or with black Hobbs boots with coloured opaque tights.

I suspect it will look okay over turtle neck thin jewel coloured top as well?

Please don't let it be crap as I love everything about it, especially the price.

It's Pearl Lowe for Peacocks.

Who on earth buys a dress specifically for the school run?

squeaver · 03/11/2009 21:57

Looks a bit evening-y to me. Sorry.

VulpusinaWilfsuit · 03/11/2009 21:57

Swedes! You have been awol! Or was it me that was awol?

AvadaNuffofFireworks · 03/11/2009 21:58

Bit too dressy for school run, v lowcut and spangly.

Swedes2Turnips0 · 03/11/2009 21:59

Vulpy - I think a bit of both. Lovely to see you.

My goodness, that's one posh school you must run to.

Wonderstuff · 03/11/2009 22:02

Did you notice it was handwash only?

jamaisjedors · 03/11/2009 22:02

I like it but I can't imagine wearing it on the school run (but then I don't do one!).

The midriff bit would be too jewelly for me and I hate drawing attention to myself and always worry about looking silly (not that you would!).

I'm sure you would look v. chic in it, can't see anything crap about it at all!

Swedes2Turnips0 · 03/11/2009 22:02

I always do cleavage on the school run.

Nothing wrong with a bit of spangle on a credit crunching morning. It depends on how you dress it surely? I think a bit of dressed down spangle is very uplifting.

Well if someone turned up to our school in that dress, I have a suspiscion there would be rumours of not going home from the night out before

Swedes2Turnips0 · 03/11/2009 22:04

handwash only will be ok in the delicates cycle on my washing machine.

nice for a party

tulpe · 03/11/2009 22:09

love it

And I would wear it for school run, layered as you describe. Anyway, presumably you will have a coat over the top too so who is going to see the sleeves (which is most "evening-y" bit of it anyway.

Flounce and be proud

FlamingoBOOMbo · 03/11/2009 22:10

You have to have clothes specifically for the school run???

Wow! You've given me yet another reason to home educate!

Swedes2Turnips0 · 03/11/2009 22:11

This is me in my summer school run dress. It's such a shame it's turned so chilly all of a sudden.

OP posts:
CaptainNancy · 03/11/2009 22:12

It doesn't look nearly warm enough, even with layers underneath!

Wonderstuff · 03/11/2009 22:12
Grin
CaptainNancy · 03/11/2009 22:12

@summer dress... almost pshawed outloud!

MrsMotMot · 03/11/2009 22:13

It's very pretty sweedes and I am always trying (and mostly failing) to be a bit more dressy and spangly in everyday life! I think life is a bit short to only wear nice things at night time.

KnottyLocks · 03/11/2009 22:14

Certainly way smarter than my school run attire, in fact all my attire. Not standing next to you.

Swedes

I think if I were doing a school run, I'd invest in something like this.

Swedes2Turnips0 · 03/11/2009 22:17

MrsMotMot - I agree.
