As there is a bit of a tights thing going down on mn atm can I ask what (if any) the rules are for wearing coloured tights please.

So having been told (and acknowledged) that long skirts cut on the bias are ageing I have now purchased a couple of short skirts (one black denim, one navy blue).

Now then, black skirt, black tights, black boots is a bit dull, SO do you do matchy matchy with your tights and your top, or is that too try hard and should go just randomly pull out coloured tights from your drawers and sling them on regardless of what is happening elsewhere in the outfit?

I love my teal tights. I usually match to my layering piece - so will be wearing black dress with teal t shirt under, teal tights and black boots. Am useless at harmonising, and theorise that any colour is more interesting than more black.

I like the Gypsy 100 denier tights for the record - cotton type, thick and not holely

oh no, I'm not going to ignore anyone on this thread. I am a tights ignoramus, but see now stake you have used bluey purple and varicose veins in the same sentence. It's going to hard to shift that association.

Oops right ok, have been upstairs to check out aforementioned tights. The tights are black the tights are black with pink/purple/teale flowery bits.

BEST TIGHTS EVER here falke footless i always go through tights at the toe so these are fab. oh the colours.

I have teal and purple. I wear with black, black and grey stripe and plain grey knitted dresses with black shoes or boots. I am quite dull though. I am trying to pluck up the courage to wear my teal tights with my red patent heels but suspect that might be A Bit Much at work

The tights are black with bells bits on.

I use Falke footless tights with boots and the tights match/coordinate with something i am wearing.

Tho have a brown skirt with some red stitching detail and wear red footless tights in red with brown knee high boots (skirt is calf length) so red is mostly in secret

Have red, brown, purple, plum, black, silvery grey, teal. Passed on canary, caribbean, berry and pine tho

I have these And they are great for the money, really long in the leg. I have the kingfisher, it's a lovely colour (I am going to wear with black short skirt, black suade boots, and black silk camisole top, vintage necklace)

I wear trainer/short socks usually with knee highs if cold and long boots.

socks. i rarely wear shoes, only boots or sandals (in summer).
