lilibet · 20/09/2009 18:43

ahundredtimes · 20/09/2009 18:44

Hurray for the much younger lover. Is he the guy from the chess thing? Does everyone know about this except for me?

lilibet · 20/09/2009 18:46

DillyTantay · 20/09/2009 18:48

DottyDot · 20/09/2009 18:48

41 here and horribly, horribly fat and aged...! Keep losing a stone, putting it on, losing it, putting it on. Oh joy.

Can't believe Bruce Springsteen is 60 next week!

Just don't understand how this getting to being 40 thing has happened - what happened to my 30's?

DillyTantay · 20/09/2009 18:49

well ds3 and I cleaned the bathrooma dn all those mirrors made me realise that no make up will erase the work of two bottles of wine between three last night.

SO i took it off and I think I looked better fgs

ME admitting I might look better sans maquillage is bad

we will not discuss weight here - its too dull

Bah! I'd happily trade being empowered for a less wobbly tummy

ahundredtimes · 20/09/2009 18:53

Well that's all v. exciting Kerry. Am pleased. Sorry Lill - yes, was to Kerry, though if you'd like to tell me about your young lover, I don't mind listening, chess or no chess

Oh yes, fgs - get the slap off. Wear v. little but well.

I'm handing out information here like that's what I do. Am just showing off. I'm a 40 y-o show off

DottyDot · 20/09/2009 18:53

Yeah - I'm down to using one brown eyeliner to put a bit under my eyes and a bit on top of my eyes and sort of smudging it everywhere in the hope I look mysterious. Bit of brown mascara and that's that. Apart from when I see shiny lipglosses for 50p on sale in the Body Shop...

Also am loving the Dove pro-age shower cream - sad to say it really has made my skin a lot softer

CybilLiberty · 20/09/2009 18:54

I think Boots does its own bleaching. You can get it online. I often bleach my 'tache. Or wax it.

GentleOtter · 20/09/2009 18:58

Get it waxed or threaded, Riven. Those bleaches can be harsh on the skin.

ahundredtimes · 20/09/2009 18:58

I'm channelling my inner Lauren Bacall

ahundredtimes · 20/09/2009 18:59

Wax it

You can wax it yourself, they sell wax for facial hair etc, I know it.

YouLukaStunning · 20/09/2009 19:24

Can I join the fogeys clan?

Most days I still think I'm about 24. I'll be talking with "young people" and mention maybe something or someone from 'our childhood' and they'll look at me as if to say but that was like a million years before I was born!

When I had my dd1 a midwife walked into the room when my legs were akimbo and remarked that I looked far too young to be having a baby. I was really offended until my next contraction.

Today I am now an old walrus! Help!
