100 great plains are doing a vitually identical dress for a fraction, but not satiny

CybilLiberty · 22/09/2009 19:25

coo luv a duck

ahundredtimes · 22/09/2009 19:25

Jeez, I wish that Myla girl would put some clothes on and get out of her corner and get a job and change the world and stop sitting there in her red pants staring at me.

Mind you, Cybill, she does have what looks v. like a silk pillowcase or two bunched up behind her. Perhaps you could take those?

CatIsSleepy · 22/09/2009 19:27

myla girl needs a good roast dinner and a warm cardy

ahundredtimes · 22/09/2009 19:27

Oh that's rather nice Cybill. I think I might need a lower front though, dunno. Have norks.

The satin was the thing really, was just the most ludicrously luxurious thing to put on and ponce about in. It didn't really do me any favours though tbh

ahundredtimes · 22/09/2009 19:31

I keep looking at that Great Plains dress.

Is this exactly the wrong sort of ageing fucker thing to do though?

Think 'oh yes, I like that' and then get it and then think 'what am I doing? This isn't for a 40 y-old, it's for a pretty 20 y-old who wants to look an ironic 40.'

what do you all think?

CatIsSleepy · 22/09/2009 19:33

it's a nice dress
when/where would you wear it?
such dresses are beyond my ken atm-but when i go back to work i would like to get some nice grown-up dresses

MaggieBeauLeo · 22/09/2009 19:34

my four year old son was sitting on my knee pointing at myla woman half an hour ago.

I know, I know, I should have been doing a jigsaw with him or summit.

ahundredtimes · 22/09/2009 19:37

lol at Maggie

CIS - I'd just wear it you know, here. With boots. Maybe a cardigan. I'd get it and dress it down. This is my way.

ahundredtimes · 22/09/2009 19:39

I mean I work at home. I could wear a dressing-gown or those red pants.

However have realized that would be a disaster, so now I make an effort. Is a bit mad. Nobody is going to know.

CybilLiberty · 22/09/2009 19:40

Of course you could wear that dress. if I didn;t work in a school and spend most of my day on my knees at a tiny table, I would get it in a second.

ahundredtimes · 22/09/2009 19:41
CatIsSleepy · 22/09/2009 19:41

i'd like one of these
i only ever seem to wear jeans though
am firmly entrenched in a jeans rut

CybilLiberty · 22/09/2009 19:42

Just bloody get it

CybilLiberty · 22/09/2009 19:42

No one ever said on their deathbed 'I wish I hadn't bought all those useful jersey dresses'

MaggieBeauLeo · 22/09/2009 19:47

Catissleepy, I eased myself out of that jeans everyday rut by buying these in two different colours.

hang on lemme show you belted seam trousers on the left

I bought grey first then black. not like me to buy two of something.

CatIsSleepy · 22/09/2009 19:51

hmm
i quite like those in black maggie...and i don't normally do Next...

DillyTantay · 22/09/2009 19:56

i dont like borders or cargo
yuk
i dont like the odd OK dress but DO like the other one.

Winebeforepearls · 22/09/2009 19:57

I work from home. I live in jeans. I'm 39 in November and suddenly my eyes are crinkly

I should probably get something a leetle bit different, like those Next jobs but then I dream of this

which is just desperate. Why have I never worn a dress like that? Eeurgh.

MaggieBeauLeo · 22/09/2009 19:59

NO I HATE borders. I couldn't even type the word earlier.

These aren't like borders, they're more like cigarette pants. Tapered but not skinny, fitted but not tight. I've had loads of compliments on them.

MaggieBeauLeo · 22/09/2009 20:00

No Catissleepy, not normally a next fan either. especially anything from next with a pattern.

noddyholder · 22/09/2009 21:26

What are borders? Cargo pants are for builders to keep their stuff in!Never on women.I have an old rolling stones t shirt which I have had for years which is getting the bin treatment tonight wore it today as mostly home and have decided no.Might keep it for bed as its so soft My 50p hair colour wash is amazing smells divine and looks like I've been to the hairdressers.

PacificDogwood · 22/09/2009 21:27

Oh, can you imagine doing the schoolrun in that Westwood number ?
That would shut the school gate fashion mafia up, heehee!

CybilLiberty · 22/09/2009 21:41

noddy I used to use toners an shaders all the time! My hair has taken on an unfortunate ginger hue so I may have to give it the once over

NorbertDentressangle · 22/09/2009 21:47

Do Shaders and Toners have a tendency to dye your scalp though or do they wash off quite easily?

I seem to remember as a teen many years ago, that you'd end up with tell-tale red/burgundy/brown/orange tinted scalp
