the north face ones are marginally less 'i am wearing my duvet' and i hate fake fur.

gavel!

shopalot · 15/09/2009 14:25

I love the loft patagonia one in brown if money os no object. However the other patagonia one is nice too. I like brown rather than black personally. I think the shaping of the patagonia one would be very flattering.

Fimbo · 15/09/2009 14:26

North Face

The Patagonia is similar to a Lands End one.

BitOfFun · 15/09/2009 14:28

Hate the North Face one for some reason- go for the other one!

LetThemEatCake · 15/09/2009 14:28

talk to me about Lands End... I came across them in my search and was not horrified by their prices but some alarm in my head said "Lands end = Bad thing"

Remember I am not from this country and be kind on my ignorance, please

North face one or the expensive one that you had on another post.

TheBalladofGayTony · 15/09/2009 14:29

landsend isn't v. cool but then you are buy and duvet with arms so have a look.

the north face and pategonia ones will be v. light and warm compared to cheaper affairs.

Fimbo · 15/09/2009 14:31

Lands End is for people of a certain age or those who prefer not to follow fashion. But although most of their things are deadly dull they do surprisingly have the odd (very odd!) gem of a coat.

Fimbo · 15/09/2009 14:32

Lands End is an American company with a British arm.

beaniebaby25 · 15/09/2009 14:36

Fimbo - what nationality are its legs?

NoahDear · 15/09/2009 15:38

long puffs are a bit football manager arent they

get the lands end one

NoahDear · 15/09/2009 15:38

yes I have a lands end " squall jacket" for watching sport

is vg

NoahDear · 15/09/2009 15:39

ooh the north face one will make oyu lok like a long sausage

NoahDear · 15/09/2009 15:40

they dont sell mine any more. its short, was polar white and still is oddly

dexter73 · 15/09/2009 16:51

I think the Patagonia loft one in brown is the best and is a good fitted shape.

TheBalladofGayTony · 15/09/2009 16:56

yes why so long?
i think i like thsi one but am unfamiliar ground with teh padded jacket thing

dexter73 · 15/09/2009 17:02

The problem with short jackets is that your bum freezes! I speak from experience of this! Also they look funny over long tops/jumpers.

TheBalladofGayTony · 15/09/2009 17:06

but don't you get too warm in the big duvet things?

Lizzylou · 15/09/2009 17:10

Hmm, out of all of them I like the detachable dead animal one best (detached)

Far prefer this one though

LetThemEatCake · 15/09/2009 17:11

don't want a short one, want long - to cover post-natal arse.

One of the NF ones I linked to has no puff - acceptable??

OP posts:
LetThemEatCake · 15/09/2009 17:13

yes yes the dead animal one - no michelin man rolls of puff

am off the idea of anything belted. Just one more thing to faff with. Bear in mind bfing this winter

OP posts:
Lizzylou · 15/09/2009 17:16

Ah, OK.
Then go for the dead animal one.

MaggieBeauLeo · 15/09/2009 17:19

oh do it!

I ordered a lands end one last year, and it was so warm, it just made me less afraid of winter. I wasn't all grouchy standing out side the school or walking into town. winter couldn't touch me in that coat.

why did i not do that years ago!?!?

MaggieBeauLeo · 15/09/2009 17:22
