Lotkinsgonecurly · 03/09/2009 12:44

They've just mentioned this article on loose women. As I sat here watching it was on in background and they were discussing what to wear on the school run and showed the headline in dm article. But they did mention that it comes from online mums forum.

"I think there is absolutely no excuse for setting foot out of the house not properly dressed! Standards are really slipping since my day. My mother always looked immaculate in her M&S twinset and refused to chat to anyone who looked a bit rough. I have taken her lead in this!"

hehe

MrsDanversWorksForTheDM · 03/09/2009 13:37

It's a bit silly that in the process of slagging off mumsnetters, most of their comments took the subject far more seriously than we did with mums being slagged off as either vacuous airheads responsible for all the ills of this world or chavs bursting out of their tracksuits

We may have inane threads about trivia but we don't get anywhere near as nasty as the commenting DMers imo

MrsDanversWorksForTheDM · 03/09/2009 13:39

& who's MrsFanjo, has she been outed yet?

OrmIrian · 03/09/2009 13:42

Why don't they ever nick the interesting stuff. Just school runs, kids food..yawn. Why don't we ever see the mad irrational threads there?

missmelly · 03/09/2009 13:43

she's brilliant

notwavingjustironing · 03/09/2009 13:44

check out the latest comment from someone calling themself xesmub from davidtennantshire. Surely not one of us?

missmelly · 03/09/2009 13:49

oh shit, I didnt get the xesmub reference till just now!
loving your work whoever you are

Rindercella · 03/09/2009 14:14

"Sam from Australia", you are a total star for your 2nd comment on the DM website

oneopinionatedmother · 03/09/2009 14:26

You will all be Assimailated (sic)!

EleanoraBuntingCupcake · 03/09/2009 14:34

do you think they still hug themselves at teh cleverness of calling their wimmins bit femail?

TheScatterGunApproach · 03/09/2009 16:45

I've added one or two comments ;)

TheScatterGunApproach · 03/09/2009 16:55

oh fuck.

I've been so busy chortling over my Mail postings I didn't notice my daughter was eating my chapstick.

Seems to be no harm done.

tulpe · 03/09/2009 16:59

SGA - you really shouldn't have admitted to that on here......can see DM headlines now.....SGA too busy on MN to adequately care for DD......SGA should be thrown in jail for neglect and DD given to foster parents who won't MN nor care what they look like......

TheScatterGunApproach · 03/09/2009 17:05

Ahaha

Unless dd were adopted by a gay couple, causing two diametrically-opposed streams of bile that would cancel eachother out, causing the DM to collapse in on itself and implode!

Like in Ghostbusters.

I tried to post on there but I think my details of Norks A Plenty from Fanjoshire was a bit obvious & was deleted

TheScatterGunApproach · 03/09/2009 17:19

I'm there under 'C Flaps' and N. Orks

also Teresa of London is me.

It's like shooting fish in a barrel, if I wasn't enjoying it so much it would be frightening.

They are far too easy!

TheScatterGunApproach · 03/09/2009 17:30

I know...and yet people seem to be falling for it. It is actually kind of scary.
