I need something more substantial than ballet-pump-type shoes (what my Dad calls 'outdoor slippers') to wear with my jeans.

Where can I get nice cheapish ones from?

i also find converse too flat for comfort. i don't know if I need a thicker sole overall or just at the heel

they are flat, i have flantar fasciitis ( its crap) and i just couldn't wear them.
