Do I want some converse-style trainers?

I need something more substantial than ballet-pump-type shoes (what my Dad calls 'outdoor slippers') to wear with my jeans.

Where can I get nice cheapish ones from?

Are there 'rules' about wearing them?

Converse for me, got mine from Amazon too.

As for rules - only ever with jeans/long trousers. NEVER wear with a skirt or shorts unless you are under the age of 18.

Superdry
Look just as good as Converse but not so common. Everybody has Converse.

I have been trying to decide wether to buy converse for ages now. I just don't think I with it enough to wear them though, i mean most trendy people wear them and I am not generally trendy.

I did nearly buy a plain black pair of canvas lace ups today but dd1 has a pair and asked me not to lol.

Cookie's not part of the herd though...she has special converse

I have a pair of Black and white converse daps. I love them.

My DS (12) has the same pair. Same colour, same fricking SIZE.

(I have actually has to write my name in my pair so that we don't get confused. I'm 36)

NervousNutty - You don't need to be trendy, that is the good thing about converse. I just wear mine with jeans and whatever top I have on. Today I had mine on with jeans, vest top and cardigan and it looked ok ( I hope)

If you want a pair, just get them.

I'm tempted to get some now.

I've ordered these purple Vans on a recommendation that they have much thicker soles. And they are purple (plus they helpfully list sizes in UK and EU so I can tell which size I actually want).

i have a lovely pair of Gola style converse on ebay atm for sale! they are v cool, but i can't wear as the style is too flat for my feet, since a developed foot problems.

they have a retro little flower design all over them. size 38.
