If I show you my favourite RL dress (and some others I'm considering)

If I show you a pic of my favourite RL dress will you help me find others I might like? There are none in the shops that I could see when I went ot look, but I know you lot are expert internet-finders!

Pic is on profile. Jersey material, the V neck is quite low, it's just above the knee.

I've been looking on ebay and seen

this one but it's a bit dark

and this one

and this one

but they're all 3/4 sleeves rather than v short sleeves.

What do you think?

I have "rien" on the norkage front too btw, Trillian.

TrillianAstra · 05/06/2009 13:14

I think I have un petit peu de norkage... Just about... With the right bra... [grni]

I lik Perrin too. But Mat would be more fun. Rand is just a big mopey whiney angsty boring thing.

OP posts:
Castiel · 05/06/2009 13:34

Oh yes. Rand is to WoT what Frodo is to LoTR. Liability. Wanders off, whinges, moans, causes trouble, acts like a fecking teenager, fails to see what's right in bloody front of him. I'd like to play poker with Mat.

TrillianAstra · 05/06/2009 13:38

Um, I wouldn't, I'd lose a lot of money!

Anyway, you must look at my dresses and help me decide! Just click a link or two and say what you think.

I think I know nothing about clothes. I make my own. Out of patchwork remnants and tie-dyed offerings. I leave a waft of patchouli wherever I go.

But, honestly, from your OP, the 2nd one on ebay is very nice. The third one isn't, too busy.

I repeat, I know nothing. I did have to go in TK Maxx yesterday and noticed their 'young fashion' section (an alarm went off as I approached and they batted me back with sticks). Had lots of lovely patterned jersey dresses. I admired from afar and then retreated to a cafe for a sit down and an Earl Grey.

Er, my SIL buys clothes online from Joe Browns. They're quite nice. Lots of dresses that aren't too shocking.

There, my best effort at discussing clothes. I'm exhausted.

TrillianAstra · 05/06/2009 13:50

Thanks for trying I like your 'I read fantasy books me' description of your clothes

I have trouble with TK Maxx - it's too horribly full of mess. But if you say they have dresses I might venture there.

TrillianAstra · 05/06/2009 13:55

Come on everyone, we are stil talking dresses here, not just WoT!

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 05/06/2009 13:56

Joe Browns was a good recommendation. I like this top even though it's not at all what I'm looking for. And [[http://www.joebrowns.co.uk/showPart.asp?part=LD084 this dress] is nice but I'm not convinced by the colour.

FabulousBakerGirl · 05/06/2009 13:57

Sorry but a v neckline that is low to just above the knee is very low

Castiel · 05/06/2009 13:58

We have 2 TK Maxx stores in our nearest city. One is a warzone with fluorescent strip lighting and zombified staff. The other is altogether more manageable. Not that I go in either one for more than cheap Le Creuset stuff or if dragged by 8yr old niece. Honestly, the acres and acres of fashion coupled with an 8yr old whittling on about HSM or Hannah Montana, it's painful.

But, yes, I saw some nice dresses. And a remote controlled helicopter which appealed to my inner child. Yes, dresses, pretty dresses.

TrillianAstra · 05/06/2009 13:58

We've had that joke already, try another one!

OP posts:
FabulousBakerGirl · 05/06/2009 13:58

and then i read the thread and realise i am 2 1/2 hours behind listenglisten who has already said that

TrillianAstra · 05/06/2009 13:59

Whoops, this dress from Joe Browns. I don't think that pink is very me.

Tell me where you buy your clothes people, I need more shops!

OP posts:
Castiel · 05/06/2009 14:02

Oh I know who I like. Gudrun Sjoden. From afar again. I'm not rich.

I feel bad y'see for hijacking and waffling about fantasy and I'm now forced to shout the names of shops I may have seen once or liked slightly.

Trillian - I like this top from Joe Browns? I think it's nice.

Castiel · 05/06/2009 14:09

NOMADS

For all your patchouli wafting, lentil-weaving needs.

TrillianAstra · 05/06/2009 14:13

That is a very pretty top. Shame it's not a dress. Might want it anyway...

Castiel · 05/06/2009 14:14

UTTAM

NAMASTE

Okay, I'm off to read a book now...

TrillianAstra · 05/06/2009 14:21

This maybe? Not sure about the neckline.

This is pretty but again probably too girly for me.

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 05/06/2009 14:24

Why are you going and harrassing random teachers in a nice dress with a top underneath?

The one you said had funny sleeves I think will end up in a possibly pregnant floaty issue

TrillianAstra · 05/06/2009 14:28

I'm not, I was trying to think of a scenario where one has to look respectable, and then explain that I want my dress to be lower-cut than that

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 05/06/2009 14:33

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

TrillianAstra · 05/06/2009 14:34

Screaming?
