sweetmonkey · 26/05/2005 11:14

i live in bromley and managed to get some put aside at the locksbottom sainsburys, still BOGOF,
the bromley store had sold out last night and i phoned boots but no offers on

Sonnet · 26/05/2005 11:20

Have tried two big boots, one large Tesco and all have gaps on the shelf!
Only got a small Sainsburys near me....

sweetmonkey · 26/05/2005 11:22

cant believe how popular it is. hope it is as good as everyone has made out. what area are you in?

Sonnet · 26/05/2005 11:35

I am in Northamptonshire, but can travel to Milton Keynes - might have to make a special trip!!
Could kick myself as I nearly bought some in March when I first saw it!!

Gobbledigook · 26/05/2005 11:41

It's great - my upper half is really tanned. Haven't put any on my legs as they are always covered.

I've not had any streaking either. I put it on when I get out of the shower so my skin is still fairly moist (even though towel tried) and I think that helps. I wash my hands straight afterwards so no orange palms.

Sonnet · 26/05/2005 11:43

Don't rub it in..... I am white and pasty and likely to stay that way!!

fairydust · 26/05/2005 11:47

i can't find it in any of the shops near me

sweetmonkey · 26/05/2005 11:51

but do you use it on yr face?

abacus · 26/05/2005 12:00

and where can you get it???? I tried all the Boots I know of,same with Superdrug/Sainsburys, phoned Asda who said yes we have some, went and they'd sold out, resorted to ebay and paid twice as much! It's a bit like when Delia went on about liquid glycerin in a Xmas special - you couldn't find it for love nor money

crunchie · 26/05/2005 12:10

Sweetmonkey, yes I would use it on my face. I haven't becasue I have a clarins one I was given. BUT I would if I needed to.

I have had to stop using though for the past weke as I am having a spray tan done tomorrow or sat in time for my holiday, so I wanted to start from an all over white body

sweetmonkey · 26/05/2005 12:11

ah thanks crunchie.just didnt wanna end up looking like an oompa loompa

serenity · 26/05/2005 12:42

I've used it on my face, and it's nice. The only thing was that I got really spotty - I'm not sure if it was connected or not (my face can be quite sensitive) but I liked it enough that I'll probably give it another try.

sweetmonkey · 26/05/2005 12:44

so you didnt get any streaking? just paranoid that i'll use it and then it will go wrong and i wont be able to leave the house.LOL
did you use the light or medium one?

serenity · 26/05/2005 13:03

I used the dark one, I didn't use a lot and I moisturised over the top of it just to make sure it was really even. I just didn't want there to be a noticeable difference between my neck/chest and my face iyswim.

LIZS · 26/05/2005 13:04

dh couldn't get it in Jersey yesterday, apparently there is a waiting list !!

sweetmonkey · 26/05/2005 13:04

yeah thats what i dont want, he he.

Sonnet · 26/05/2005 14:38

Boots completly out of stock....

sweetmonkey · 26/05/2005 14:45

even the website?

champs · 28/05/2005 19:16

Sonnet, fairydust, and abacus I have a light one for 1/2 price if you want it (i got it bogof as there was only one dark one left and wouldn't feel right asking for £4.99)
also local tesco and boots have it so if you would like I can get some for you and send it.

Puppy · 01/06/2005 13:52

Enid, just wondering how you are getting on with the No7 firm your body balm, i hav e just been to boots to get try and get the johnsons one but the lady said that they don't bother stocking it because of the no7 one, so i ended up buying the No7 balm still bogof.

pleaserewind · 01/06/2005 13:54

puppy, does the no 7 one have self tan in it ?

OP posts:
Enid · 01/06/2005 13:57

have been using the boots one for 2 weeks but no real change, just a very very slight glow

Puppy · 01/06/2005 14:11

Thanks enid.
pleaserewind on the box it says proven to reduce the appearance of orange-peel skin, it firms, smoothes and nourishes, adding a hint of colour to get you ready for your holiday.

katierocket · 01/06/2005 14:14

I bought some of this after seeing this thread. Am just back from hols so do have bit of tan anyway but I think it's good stuff. It did streak on my legs though - any idea why?
