Deck shoes I think look OK when they are new but I think begin to look quite messy and sloppy after a while. Timberlands do anyway -there are other types (e.g Henri-Lloyd) that may well wear better.

We'd all be better orff covering up a bit more. I've jsut come back from Bangladesh, where, as a Muslim conutry, no man would be seen dead in a pair of shorts, thus most (culturally sensitive) expats. go with this.

Having said that, allow me to tell you that my lovely dh has fabulous legs which look great in shorts (or owt at all). It's one of the reasons I married him.
