It's not THAT bad. I think it has potential. If it as long as you describe you could probably do with taking it up a few inches, the weight of long hair drags it down and makes it look flat when with some length chopped off and a bit of head upside down blow drying to add body it could look fabulous! I would seek professional help for this length chopping procedure though or it will end in tears.

I love fluffy choppy layered hair (like mine!!). LOL

don't do it molly unless you are 100% sure you know what you're doing! I suspect I didn't quite get it

of course I don't know what I'm doing....I haven't even been near a real hairdresser for over a year; I'm short-sighted and if I throw my head forwards, my glasses wil fall off rendering me blind; and the only scissors I havein the house are a pair of blunt purple ELC safety scissors suitable for 3-year-olds, which stick slightl thanks to my 11-year-old trying to cut wire with them.
Yet somehow, I remain convinced that is is that simple to cut my own hair, thanks to the wonders of you-tube and MN......

What you need is those crinkle blade scissors - you can lots of different patterns. Now that would make for interesting layers!! Scalloped fringe LOL
