BoysAreLikeDogs · 03/02/2009 18:38

Drum were you in bananarama ?

thesockmonsteroflurve · 03/02/2009 18:40

those leggins belong to David Bowie surely.

verygreenlawn · 03/02/2009 18:53

Never mind snow wash, we used to call them pigeon-shitters. Usually worn by boys or girls with those clumpy splattered home-prepared orange highlights if I recall correctly.

Am I showing my age?

southeastastra · 03/02/2009 18:54

ha green lawn and matching snow wash denim jackets with studs

DontCallMeBaby · 03/02/2009 19:02

Excellent - I see absolutely no reason why the young and lithe of today should be denied the chance to look like utter crap, after all I spent the best (physical years) of my life wearing that rubbish.

verygreenlawn · 03/02/2009 19:07

My mate Matt actually had the matching jeans/jacket combo - with the word "MATT" spelt out on his back in studs. The jeans were so tight I used to fear for his future fertility, and the whole school could tell he dressed to the left.

He also had the highlights and a mullet. The back of the mullet was permed in the style of Chris Waddle, a personal hero.

Unlikely you're reading this Matt, but I'm so glad to hear you're now at the peak of fashion again.

southeastastra · 03/02/2009 19:10

oh no! rofl

Drum · 03/02/2009 19:16

Yep, my teenage nieces have gorgeous hair and decent clothes, plus their every move is captured digitally and any dodgy photos immediately deleted.

BoysAreLikeDogs, myself and two friends came second in a Banarama 'dance alike' competition held at my university during the first ever Comic Relief day. We lost because a girl on the winning team got her boobs out! We were superb, got the outfits just right and even had male backing dancers.

Having revealed that little gem, I am off to name change!

Sidge · 03/02/2009 20:10

In 1984 I was the proud owner of a stone-washed denim jacket - but not just any denim jacket; oh no, this one was reversible! It had a cartoon-patterned slightly padded lining. I used to wear it with my stone-washed drainpipe (ie skinny) jeans and lots of plastic pastel jewellery.

I was a fox

beansontoast · 03/02/2009 20:41

hee heeee i think they look great i do!

i think that sport nouveaux look is fab.

and i love harem pants...all the girls were wearing them in france last summer...awesome comfy and cool.

Monkeytrousers · 03/02/2009 21:31

OMG! Snowwash??!! NOOoooo!

LackaDAISYcal · 03/02/2009 21:38

they can dress it up with a fancy schmancy "pebble bleached" name, but it's snow-washed allright.

the only folks round my way that wore snow washed denim went on to embrace shell suits in a biiiiig way. enuf said really.

and harem pants, eeeeeeewwwww

God i feel old!

HecateQueenOfGhosts · 03/02/2009 21:41
