I tried a pair on yesterday and the fabric is very thin and flimsy - can anyone who has had them for a while vouch for how long the knees are likely to last if I spend most of my time down on the floor entertaining a toddler?

Personally I would prefer to pay more for a thicker denim.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 28/01/2009 12:21

I am a CM and have lived in them since I got 'em

I have an oak floor too

BUT for £12 .....

i have ordered some too! anythings worth a try frankly

mysterymoniker · 28/01/2009 16:48

I think my bum does look quite trim in them, they are not too flappy to tuck into riding boots either. I rode in them for an hour and have been sploshing about in the mud quite happily all day, hoping for someone to admire my rear view - nicer than heavy denim in the rain too

verygreenlawn · 29/01/2009 10:41

They're lovely - just right for me as I needed something to disguise post-ds3 belly, but didn't want to spend too much as the weight is coming off quite quickly.

Be warned though the sizes seem huge. No way am I back down to the size I'm currently wearing in them.

mishymoo · 29/01/2009 10:48

My mum bought a blue pair a few weeks ago and loved them so much she went back and bought the black pair! She likes them because they sit on her waist and not on the hips! They are very slimming!

WEESLEEKITLauriefairycake · 29/01/2009 14:19

I don't find them huge but that's because I'm wearing the short version with flat shoes and I find all petite clothes are smaller everwhere else too. If I was wearing the regular with slight heels I bet they'd fit me better - so actually they are a bit tight on me.

They are good and very dark - hope they stay dark as they do look smartish with no fading.

My ass does not look smaller but that will be due more to my giant-assness than anything else.

AussieLou · 29/01/2009 15:29

After reading all these posts I want a pair now too. I was looking at the website though and once you are in the larger sizes you can only buy them in medium length. So does that mean that fat people are all the same height? That is all I need. My fat arse in a pair of too short jeans. I am still going to order a paid...

Leeza2 · 30/01/2009 20:03

I bought these today in black and I'm really pleased with them. They are high enough on the waist to hold in the flab but very slim cut on the leg.

I'd like to order them online in indigo - does anyone have a discount code for free postage please?

Thanks for the tip BALD

eNABlemetobebetter · 30/01/2009 20:04

Have been back twice but all the bootcuts have gone.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 30/01/2009 20:05

No code I am afraid though

Leeza2 · 30/01/2009 20:23

well BALD, thats simply not good enough! I am too mean careful to spend 3.50 on postage for a £12 item

eNABlemetobebetter · 30/01/2009 20:49

Buy more than one pair!

cali · 30/01/2009 20:57

will try them tomorrow and let you know, £12 - bargain!

Twirl · 30/01/2009 23:55

Am about to order some. Can I ask how many of you ended up getting a size smaller than your usual size? I can't decide what size to get.....

eNABlemetobebetter · 31/01/2009 07:46

I got a 12 and anywhere else I would have to get a 14.

mrsmaidamess · 31/01/2009 12:07

I have mine!

I am wearing as we speak.

They are not exactly 'cutting edge' but as comfy bumming around jeams they are fine. I agree, they are a roomy cut altho I'm def a 14, I couldn't risk a 12.

Good call BALD!

Leeza2 · 31/01/2009 12:32

I am normally a 13 but a 12 was fine. 14 was defo too big, so size down if in doubt

cali · 31/01/2009 21:32

Wearing mine too although 14 a bit too big but only size that sorted fitted that was long and boot cut. Very comfy and hides my mummy tummy, thanks for tip bald!

Ohforfoxsake · 31/01/2009 21:33

oooh, mine were 'despatched' today. Am very excited

jodee · 04/02/2009 19:38

thank you for this thread! bought some in Southampton at the weekend, the dark blue, am trying to get the black ones now. I'm a size 12 and their size 12 fitted perfectly.

PurlyQueen · 05/02/2009 20:40

I bought a pair in Brent Cross today. They are fantastic - I feel comfortable in a pair of jeans for the first time since my son was born.
