How fab is that?

Get thee to a M and S, try them for yourself.

How heavy is the denim on them?
I just bought a pair of hula jeans from New Look for £10 which are supposed to have similar arse shrinking properties, but they are very thin and flimsy. If the M&S ones are better quality, I'll take the New Look ones back and get myself to M&S pronto.

used2bthin · 24/01/2009 14:41

I might have to go and try these on tomorrow. I don't need ew jeans really I need to lose weight but for £12 these would do in the meantime.

brimfull · 24/01/2009 15:17

I have ordered some.

Am expecting great things BALD!

Penelope-tmi ! have you tried decent underwear with steel gusset to hold your flaps in ?

brimfull · 24/01/2009 15:20

penelope-here

kylesmybaby · 24/01/2009 15:23

ToAMount - i have both pairs (i think).
i love the hula ones (have lasted ages and ages with no fading) but the M&S are definetely a better fit. both quite thin denim though - M&S slighter thinner.
IM humble O.

CountessDracula · 24/01/2009 15:26

I don't like jeans that are round my waist any more they feel weird

They do look horrid in the pic!

What are the thighs like? Most jeans are too big for me round the thighs and go all baggy

mrsmaidamess · 24/01/2009 15:52

I prefer a higher waisted 'jean' (doesn't work in the singular )

It keeps muffin tops at bay, and trims inches orf.

ToAMountainDAISYcal · 24/01/2009 15:58

thanks kylesmybaby Maybe I'll keep the hula ones and get some of the M&S ones as well!

BitOfFun · 24/01/2009 16:04

Quite slim in the thigh I think
Lycra in them anyway, so won't lose shape I don't think. I am seriously impressed by mine, have been prancing about in them all day (apart from when MNing on the sofa )

RiojaLover75 · 24/01/2009 16:09

I bought a pair of them in November and I wear them ALL the time. However the knees in mine have faded much more than expensive pairs from M&S.

But for twelve quid, who cares!!!!

TheWizardofOz · 24/01/2009 16:27

I am sorry theere is visible camel toe in there.

bananapaddlepop · 24/01/2009 16:30

Right I'm in. Just ordered some. I need all the thigh help I can get.
Didn't realise the last online order we did was for MIL so she has ended up paying for them. Whoops!

KristinaM · 24/01/2009 16:42

ok i am ready to take the challenge but like NAB i am a size 13. NAB - did you get the 12 and how did they fit?

I have fab slim thighs, medium sized bottom and huge flabby post kids middle. please advise on sizing oh great BALD one.

and while you are at it, could you think of an outfit that only shows my thighs? since I am meant to be showing off my best bits

TheWizardofOz · 24/01/2009 17:02

Kris you sound like me.
I wear longer line tops and high boots often.
have the boden contrast trim tunic from last season - and a skinny t under it

TheWizardofOz · 24/01/2009 17:03

and this in aqua

KristinaM · 24/01/2009 17:06

oh that aqua is lovely

soem longer line tunics make me look pg as i have enormous bf norks . that looks like a very slim cut, yummy

TheWizardofOz · 24/01/2009 17:06

And i layer accordingly.
its a good and comfy look

deewillow · 24/01/2009 17:50

Hi, i'm a newbee who spotted this thread. Popped to Bluewater today and couldn't resist trying on a pair.....I can certainly say (as a girl who loves her jeans and has 15 pairs currently in her wardrobe) that they are FAB!!!!
The dark colour, the softnest of the denim and the cut are amazing. Before I went into M&S I had been trying jeans in Gap and was thinking about getting their new skinny flare, but resisted and I'm mightly glad I did.
Just don't tell my friends where they came from!!!

BitOfFun · 24/01/2009 18:24

Glad MN came through for you Dee- betcha pleased you joined!

VanillaPumpkin · 24/01/2009 18:35

The best jeans I have ever had I bought just before Christmas from M&S. They were the Flare style at £25. Very very flattering and the waist is in EXACTLY the right place, neither too high or too low, just right on my fat bit! Perfect.
I also have the £19.50 ones in black that are brilliant too and would have bought the £12 one in blue had I not found the flare.
Who would have thought it? M&S is the place for jeans !

pamelat · 24/01/2009 19:43

Really? I am tempted to buy these but they look old fashioned on the photo. Are you sure they are ok?!

I do desperately need short leg jeans. I own one pair that currently fit me!

littlelamb · 24/01/2009 19:45

Never believe the M & S photos. They could make Marilyn Monroe look like Hilda Ogden

fizzbuzz · 24/01/2009 19:50

Do they do straight ones?

moondog · 24/01/2009 19:51

Nothing makes yer arse look tiny unless it is small to begin with.Believe me.

solo · 24/01/2009 19:54

I went and braved shoppingland and tried a pair on. Wasn't that impressed actually. I felt they made my bum 'look' flat from the back, but I still had a bum in profile(I like my bum anyway). They also did not come up to my waist! contrary to what the tag said. I didn't buy them.
