... curtains would you go for?

I have oak floor, brown leather sofas, cream walls and LIME GREEN curtains and cushions.
Beige/ brown curtains could be a bit wishy washy IMO.
Bot I like COLOUR

nancy75 · 17/11/2008 22:13

have put a pic of mine on profile, the lights abit rubbish tho

PtolemysMummy · 17/11/2008 22:13

Which way does the room face? Is the room modern or traditional? Is the room draughty? Will the curtains be floor length. Any chance of a photo of the room?

nancy75 · 17/11/2008 22:14

and it hasnt worked!

soapbox · 17/11/2008 22:14

I've got the same colours as you went for burnt orange and dark lime green accent colours.

ledodgy · 17/11/2008 22:15

I have the same colours. I go for cream urtains in summer and chocolate brown taffeta in the winter.

whoingodsnamewasi · 17/11/2008 22:16

I have a light wooden floor 3 darkish cream walls, chocolate and cream settee, I did my feature wall in teal, and have brought that colour in with assesories (sp)

whoingodsnamewasi · 17/11/2008 22:17

Eer, you change your curtains to match the season??

whoingodsnamewasi · 17/11/2008 22:18

Deep Red is gorgeous, I would have it myself, but my bedroom is deep red.

emkana · 17/11/2008 22:20

what do you think, any good?

The room is quite long and fairly modern, and relatively dark.

Where do you buy your curtains from?

OP posts:
nancy75 · 17/11/2008 22:21

if the room is quite dark might the red be too dark?
we got ours from bhs, they had good selection also debenhams had quite alot

ledodgy · 17/11/2008 22:22

Lol actually that sounded more impresive than the reality. We had thinner cream curtains and I bought new ones last hristmas, kept the old ones thinking i'd put them up in the summer but we never did.

whoingodsnamewasi · 17/11/2008 22:26

Thats alright then Its enough effort for me just changing the tog ratings on duvets in winter and summer, let alone anything else

controlfreakyBANG · 17/11/2008 22:27

if room is modernish then those curtains aren't.... think they're frumpy tbh.

emkana · 17/11/2008 22:28
