OP - Shortness of skirt rather irrelevant if you are wearing with leggings and boots, surely ? Not my taste but it wouldn't have me reeling in horror at the school gate either.

I just don;t get the idea of different outfits :school run outfits. Is it the idea of all other mumn/dads will be style critics? Most are in a rush and couldn't give a fig if they are still in work clothes or jeans etc.

Trinny and Suzanna did a show about it - its stupid.

FWIW I think skirt would only look good if you were under 5 years old, but if I saw someone at school in it who was over 5 I wouldn't care.
