Do you think that this dress would look nice on me?

I am tall, well 5,10', I am curvy size 16 (ie 38E) and I have shoulder length blond wavy hair.
I am going to a super-cool wedding and I have a very limited budget. So would I look like Bet Lynch in that dress?

Are you all mad tarts with a desire to look as though you're wearing a dead leopard????

It's HORRIBLE!!!

Yes, but the first dress makes a statement, which will obviously appeal to some and not others. I like clothes that provoke a reaction.

PeaMcLean · 24/07/2008 22:23

Sorry. Bet lynch.

work in the winter. have a couple of high powered conferences i'm presenting at in sept. reckon it won't be cold enough to wear boots though, am going for black patent wedges. what are you doing for shoes?

PeaMcLean · 24/07/2008 22:26

Like the Uttam one but you'd need to try it on. Looks great in the picture. Could look weird on.

uttam sizes not good for a 16....

paolosgirl · 24/07/2008 22:28

Even if the reaction is for small children to start crying at the nasty lady who's wearing the dead animal? Or for Great Uncle Reg to spend the entire wedding leering and you and wiping his sweaty palms down his trouser legs in a 'suggestive' manner? Or for the other gorgeously dressed ladies at the wedding to refer to you as Bet (snigger) for ever more?

hoxtonchick · 24/07/2008 22:28

went up a size for boob coverage. but you could do a lacy camisole? tis my normal solution for wrap dresses.

carmenere, have you looked on ghost? v. good dresses for apple shapes, & good sales.

Yes I reckon that the Uttam one would be muttonny on me.
the thing is that the Phase eight dotty one is a bit too pedestrian elegant for me. Now I KNOW you are right Cod, It would suit me and it would be flattering and it would be very suitable for most of the weddings I get to go to but this wedding is uber-cool. I have to look terribly glam without looking cheap. tis a fine line when you are built like Diana Dors

£100 off.

You could dress it up to look cool, I think.

ahundredtimes · 24/07/2008 22:35
