I received my kiko order today so that's 5 sparkly lipsticks before I've even started on my Dior lipstick order which I will be placing once I can finally make a decision. The kiko lipstick that comes with the case is looks very dark though, it seems darker then the which the online images didn't show. I didn't manage to swatch it in store @OvaHere was told that gift sets will arrive on Thursday so I'll toddle back into town to compare the one from the set against the others. I do wish I'd bought the blush and lip balm now.

I had a range of mascara colours from No 17 back in the day, they were so fun!

so @Beautyfox I have blue eyes and I have just graduated to brown mascara for the day time but my sons girlfriend insisted that burgundy mascara was the way forward so I tried a sky high one and I love it . I wear glasses so honestly I couldn’t really see it until I was in the car , then in the sunlight I saw it and I am totally loving it . It does if you can look beyond the frames make my eyes look
bluer .

I got it in the advent. I have a feeling (maybe it was marketing) that it’s exclusive to that. Even though they have sold out online I recall them saying they would be released in store and tonight I’ve learnt there a SByA store in Covent Garden.

I’m blue too. I must be brave and try it.

I've got that mascara. I've not opened it yet as I have more than enough open mascaras but I will do now. I've got blue/grey eyes so think it will be a good colour. Brown mascara never really does it for me.

Thanks for the reminder @JoRaRaRa I did some swatching in store at lunch. There's a lot of nice stuff in the Xmas collection. I went in thinking I'd buy the blush but found it to be a bit too glowy and the highlighters are full beam! The coppery colour highlighter would actually be a great eyeshadow.

What I did really like which I would have passed over online is the 3 dual ended eyeshadow sticks. They swatch lovely and there's a blue/silver, a green and a coppery shade not unlike the new LE ones.

I love a burgundy mascara too. I had the maybelline sky high one to test whether I liked the colour and finished it. I haven’t bought a fancier one though as I have so many mascaras in the stash. I am terrible for just using one until it runs out rather than replacing after 6(?) months or whatever it is you’re supposed to do. I’m currently using a vieve black one which I like. It has such lovely packaging too, feel very swish with my gold mascara 🤣 I do like vieve as a brand, I also use the skin dew on no makeup days a lot for a bit of glow

The Clinique Black Honey shade mascara is nice. It's a reddish shade. M&S stock it for those of you who get the exlusive sparks offers on Beauty.

Whenever I use burgundy eyeliner or even an eyeshadow remotely in the same colour range, I seem to end up with people asking me whether I have sore eyes 🙄

It’s disappointing because I think it looks ok but clearly not. It looks so good on other people too.

But now I’m wondering, would plum work for me? 🤦‍♀️🤭

Eta the sculpted by Aimee gift sets are in the offer but I can’t see any burgundy mascara, must just be the advent as @Beautyfox said

The thing I love about this thread is that even though I’m not into make up (never understood more than using mascara and a bit of eye shadow and liner) and even though I have no idea what SbA sells, now I know there is a shop near my office that’s an excuse to go for a walk and a little look when I would usually be at my desk at lunchtime.

Let me know what to look out for ladies. Dangerous times as my bonus was paid today… 😂

Thanks @SheilaFentiman, skincare was my gateway drug into these threads, Mintd etc and even though my Frankenstein BAC is jammed full, and I’ve bought the Boots skincare BAC when it was a bargain and Co-pilot tells me my current stash will take me 9+ months to use up my fear is that I will buy myself a serum as that’s less scary a purchase than make-up! 😂

Although I do actually need a new pressed powder foundation to try so maybe that’s my angle!

Thanks @MrsBnow12 is it in the free for me bit? I can only see coffee for me and a friend in there. (Maybe I need to up my spending 🤔)

I have a free hair serum sample and a free Charbonnel chocolate but no perfume 😢

SbA has three (I think) types of foundation - cream cushion (which sounds the closest to what you want) hydratint (which is light coverage, I have this) and second skin.

There’s a makeup and lighting area at the back of the store so you should be able to get a shade match

Oh - only the free Clarins sample for me today in the rewards. I think I must be addicted to beauty items - I stopped my bike on my commute in to check my rewards this morning

FWIW I don’t have a Clarins sample (fine by me as I have masses of Clarins already!)

@SheilaFentiman is one of the samples a men’s fragrance? My son expressed interest in Permums de Marly but knows he won’t be getting any due to the cost! He told me this yesterday and then I find this is one of the offers - sadly not on my account though. Wondering whether it’s worth questioning my friends and family as to whether they have that offer!
