Welcome back all.

We rattled through the last thread and with Black Friday round the corner this one will go fast too. I hope we haven't all spent up on advents... 😂

Thank you as always to our regulars for you contributions and if you've been reading and thinking of joining come and say hello. 😊

The Sephora Favorites sets are normally exempt from codes in the UK, they were also excluded from the recent sale

Edit: The merit balm are also produced in a smaller size so I doubt this is a full size one

Edited

Thanks… I did wonder if they were a mini . I have £10 in vouchers so getting the full kit for 25 plus birthday free Moroccan oil so think I’ll go for it anyway . Plus I love a mini product , I kind of collect them 😜

Its a cute set and even if it is a mini it will still last ages as it’s still a decent size for a blush

If anyone likes shimmer oils this looks nice.

https://www.spacenk.com/uk/bath-body/bath-body-gift-sets/bath-body-sets/glow-on-the-go-shimmering-body-oil-trio-MUK200065371.html

SdJ GWP at spacenk with £65 bath and body spend also

I was eyeing this up. I’m using their non shimmer oil atm and it’s lovely. However, I’m at the point where I need bargains so I will hold to see if BF brings any good discounts.

however I have just purchased this which I thought was a great price. It’s for a gift but I added a mask for free delivery (over £25). With codeBDLF (I think, it was a code already in my basket and it won’t show me know which one I used) it reduced it to £22.33.

This thread is so dangerous! 😂 Just done a Rehab order, but the shampoo was out of stock, so I'll have to find that somewhere else!

I love the Morris x Hello Kitty stuff too, have enough points to order this, but I'm another one who doesn't know my card number after getting a new phone, and I've been putting off ringing them to sort 🫣

Face the future have the MZ SKIN Microtox Eye Tightening Serum on offer today as a,daily deal for £19.99! Excellent price (and product!), but I already have a few stocked up from edits/calendars 😅

https://www.facethefuture.co.uk/products/daily-deal-mz-skin-microtox-eye-tightening-serum

Would you recommend it, did it have a visible effect for you? Our Mary did a review recently and was a little lukewarm. I've got a small puffy bit under one eye so I was thinking about trying a 'tightening' type cream and this is a great deal. I do have very sensitive skin/eyes though and I can't even count the number of eye creams I've tried and chucked because they burned...

Oh never mind @Mejera, it's sold out already!

Just wondering do people have one foundation they always use or do you use different ones? I’m always wary about how accurate a colour match is when shops have such bright lights and it’s an expensive purchase if the colour match isn’t that great. Are there any shops/brands you think are best at colour matching? Thanks

I can get this down to £21.06 but, like you, I'm not sure what the code is, as I already had it in my basket. Maybe YSTYLE or YSTYLEF

HolidayHattie · Yesterday 11:43

I like both William Morris and Hello Kitty but not together - that's an abomination.

I try to colour match on my jawline instore if I can. I read somewhere that that's the best place to test foundation. I find that consultants always choose a slightly lighter shade than I prefer, so i usually go the next shade along (I'm fair skinned)

I use Chanel Les Beiges Touche de Teint most of the time, and the Dior Forever Skin Perfect stick when I want a slightly heavier coverage.

Some places will give you a little sample pot to take home and try on. Space NK do and maybe Boots.

I use a few, depending on the level of coverage I want that day, and also the time of year. My skin tone has changed over the last 20 years, and where I used to be deathly pale I’m now more of a fair tone, and need a slightly darker / warmer shade in summer. I’m probably due a bit of a foundation overhaul if I’m honest (arrgh….spending incoming!).

At the moment I have 2 shades of IT Cosmetics, a couple of nearly finished MAC/Loreal/Maybelline and a full unopened ridiculously expensive bottle of Guerlain Gold which is totally too pale and I’m an idiot for buying. (In my defence, I was replacing the previous bottle, but I did it way too soon, and I should have paused and considered shade instead of just buying palest).

ETA I love the randomness of discount codes. I can get the Kiehl’s down to 21.99. I use to use the avocado eye cream but fell out of love with it during my last pot: the consistency can be a bit thick and takes time to soften up to apply without pulling at the skin.

Oooh, strange, it's still showing as available for me!

And yes, i do think it works for me. Doesn't completely turn back time, but i think it has softened some of the newer fine lines. I'm definitely happier with around my eyes, and find it more effective than Niod FECC which I used before.

My eyes can be sensitive at times, but this never irritated them, and I use it twice a day.

IlovePond · Yesterday 13:08

@grateful3 - the JL and Harrods HBeauty beauty counters are usually pretty good for providing little pots of foundation to test at home.

marchduck · Yesterday 13:24

I had ordered the Lisa Eldridge Spinel lipstick after reading about it on here. Thank you, as it’s really lovely 😍 I’ve tended towards glosses, stains etc over the past few years, but this reminds me that a lipstick has a little more “give” in making my lips look fuller. I’m definitely going to order another one.

I used my points to order last night. I placed 2 orders on the 3for2 deal, so I have a set for myself, plus a set for DSis, plus a couple of other gifts.

Re. your card, I reported mine as lost and they instantly sent me a new card via email and all of my points were there. I then screenshot the email and saved it to my favourites so I know where to look when I need my last 3 digits.
I had been putting it off for about 2 years! Can’t believe how easy it was to resolve 😅

Thelifeofawife · Yesterday 13:53

My WA balm in English Rose arrived and it’s a lovely shade. I’ve not tried it yet but I can tell it will suit me. I was going to try it for work yesterday but then realised that I still hadn’t opened my Dior lip glass which I ordered ages ago, so I wore that instead and I love it! It’s so much nicer than my other Dior lipstick, which I found to be quite drying

Sarkyandcynical · Yesterday 14:15

My WA balm in English rose also arrived today. I’ve just tried it on with no other makeup. It’s slightly browner-toned on me than I expected but is a good autumn MLBB shade. It’s a lovely texture and I suspect will become my go-to everyday lip product for a bit. It’s slightly tingly on the lips, which I wasn’t expecting.

Theres 10% off the Elemis sets at QVC with QVCINF10

I've still not bought one because I really don't enjoy face oils - if it were any other product I'd have bought immediately. I might regret it but for now its a no.

Change of subject, I added the Regimes edit to my TikTok shop basket yesterday hoping for the discount but today it's showing as £285!!

Ooh the Regimes is £54.99 for me (just came up, I didn’t look for it) (the bots are listening!). Is this a good price?

IDontHateRainbows · Yesterday 14:56

There seems a lack of decent christmas edits/ stockings from snk this year and don't even get me started on the calendar.

SNK used to be a fave retailer for me but it's really lost it of late.

Housewife2010 · Yesterday 15:13

The FTF is showing as £43.99 if I order in the next 26 minutes.
