This will be my last post on this, but he hasn’t moved on from his explanation. My interpretation of his explanation (that he buys in bulk to sell on Amazon) is that he’s doing Amazon arbitrage which seems to be a legitimate business model. The margins might be small, but a lot of people buy from Amazon for convenience, and if he’s able to sell in volume, it might be worth doing (to him).

How do you get the free PdM? Its not adding to my basket automatically. Is this a special members thing?

I think you have to click "shop now" on the offer and then add it to your basket, then continue shopping

@Advententhusiast yes they are MyJL rewards, you click through on the reward to add to your basket (price £30) and then at checkout it gives a £30 discount to make it free

For those that have bought the Sarah Creal lipstick primer, does it affect the way your lipstick goes on? Do you have to let it ‘set’ before applying lipstick? Thank you!

Well I didn't get the money off beauty or the PDM. I've got the free Clarins hair oil.

The £20 off a £100 spend is a general offer @OvaHere , although JL make it look like it applies to the new edits- it doesn't.

Thanks so much for this. I had a necklace for my sons girlfriend in my basket which had 20% off but didn’t want to pay postage. When I added the free Delina it took the postage off so I saved on that too!

Re JL, I’ve got a free Creed sample as my reward which probably isn’t worth the postage so unless I need to order something else I think I’ll leave it. Lucky for those who got the PdM! ☺️

I have nothing worth having on my JL card. Re the Althair perfume, I sold one on Vinted within a couple of hours of uploading it so worth getting if it's free.

That's a shame. The code would have tipped it. The Ultimate edit seems good value even at full price but I'm only interested in about half of it.

I just put my lipstick on straight after. It was like wearing lip balm underneath, which I often do anyway, and just made the lipstick go on smoothly and look nice and even.

I can't speak to whether it makes the lipstick last longer as I only used it late in the day yesterday. I also have the guerlain kiss kiss lip primer which gives lipstick amazing staying power, but the texture of that one is very different - very dry although it works very well. I'll compare the two over time and see which I prefer but I expect I'll use the SC as more of an everyday one where I'm not eating & drinking much, guerlain for longevity.

I only got the hair oil too which I am not fussed about. Thanks for heads up re code @keepincool i thought it looked like it was valid for the edits too. I’ve got the usual very poor £10 off £160 spend. Quite why JL think that is tempting is beyond me, so stingy. Again between JL and Waitrose they don’t exactly lavish their customers, Waitrose especially.

Going back to coloured mascara, has anyone seen silver on sale these days? I lived in it in my 20s and loved how it made my eyes look (blue eyes, pale skin, winter colouring). I've looked for it fruitlessly in more recent years. Why don't brands sell fun makeup any more?

@LoveLabradors weirdly I am pretty happy with the mywaitrose offers, for me they are a good mix of money off stuff I buy anyway (milk, cheese slices) and a reason to try a new product in a familiar section eg cereal bars

Haven’t tried it myself but Amazon has this Eveline in silver. Notino also do it.

well I think that has made my decision about the ultimate kit. I was quite interested in this but I needed something extra like a discount or PDM samples to make me press buy. I absolutely do not need this kit so I needed enticing. Maybe I will be able to do my no spend until Halloween after all.

Just seen MZ Skin serums and moisturisers are on TKMax again. Plus eye cream and serum kits.

This is where I am. Will we hold out? 😂
