I’m adding things in my basket to get the GWP, is it worth it? It looks like a lot of things but I think they are all very small.

I’m still waiting… this limitless pass is certainly limited. I am really looking forward to the Sarah creal and the gwp. It actually looks fab and if they had got it out to me next day like promised then maybe order number 2 would have been going in about now.

I was also doing this but I really don’t need much and I was having to really stretch myself to get up to the GWP!

I’ve added a lot of Lisa Eldridge and Victoria Beckham eye pencils!

I have a day next week to myself 🙌🏻in Central London . Approx 10-3 so a good chunk of time .
Gone are the days of getting hold of brands that you couldn’t get “up here“ where I live , thanks to the internet and improved shopping outside London , but it’s still an exciting prospect !
I plan to have a good dander about Selfridges and Liberty to scout for discounted beauty goods/advents/the usual suspects . I have Sephora , space nk and H beauty at home now , but I always like to see a flagship store or a department stores offerings . You never know what you might see that’s a bit different. I’d love any suggestions , close to that area that I might not be aware of . Thanks 🙏🏻

I'm really happy with the GWP but yes the sizes are tiny. There are lots of them though so would be useful for filling BACs, stockings etc.

The AB tinted lip balm is very nice and full size and there's a mini AB overnight cream that I'm looking forward to trying. Most things are only big enough for a couple of uses, so good for sampling things but not actually getting much value out of them.

I think your explanation of why people feel differently about the scalpers vs the fairy is spot on JoRaRaRa.

I must admit I hadn’t given it much thought where the fairy was sourcing products from as this current GWP is the first thing I’ve bought from him, but I don’t think the Amazon arbitrage explanation is completely unrealistic. I think if hundreds of GWP’s were going missing from a warehouse somewhere it would trigger an audit with CB and an investigation. He isn’t being remotely under the radar about what he’s doing and it’s been going on for some time so he must have some kind of legitimate source or I can’t see how it wouldn’t have been uncovered at CB end. All big companies suffer some amount of pilfering but the scale that the fairy is selling at seems to me big enough that it would trigger action at CB if it wasn’t legit

But JoRaRARa's explanation is basically that people dislike the FAC scalpers because they disadvantage us and like the Fairy because he advantages us.

I mean, it's a bit disingenous to pretend that if the stuff is stolen, there is no disadvantage to anyone except a huge company (if one thinks it's okay to steal from big companies, which I don't). If the gwps are being knocked off somewhere along the line, then genuine Cult Beauty customers are missing out on the opportunity to get a gwp and extra value on their order. I can't see how that's different to scalpers making people have to spend more on FACs for their financial advantage tbh.

And if there is theft going on, who knows the effect on individuals. Perhaps someone will get the sack for not noticing or for low profit levels, perhaps jobs will be lost, contracts night be cancelled. I mean this is all complete speculation but the point is, this is not a Robin Hood scenario, and it is not the case that the only possible disadvantage, if this is dodgy, is to a huge company.

I’m sorry but if we all pile on a discount glitch say 40% off that is done by mistake who are we to then judge ?

I can think of a lot more worse things that are going on than getting a beauty GWP cheap .

I think accusing people of theft, without evidence, behind their backs is unfair. Maybe ask for yourself if you’re not satisfied with the business model that has been mentioned and it bothers you. Character denigration is not in the spirit of the thread and makes me uncomfortable.

It's interesting that he's moved on from saying that he gets a lot of gwps because he buys lots of stuff from Cult Beauty for his business which was the original line.

I find this arbitrage explanation very unconvincing. Arbitrage stock would be excess stock, clearance, discontinued lines, that sort of thing. Cult Beauty seem to run out of their gwps fairly quickly and he gets them at the same time as they launch. Is the suggestion that every time they are doing a gwp, Cult Beauty make hundreds more units than they need, and then sell them off cheap before the gwp even launches? I'm not a business person myself but it's not easy to see how this would be a sensible way to operate.

Should we start a new thread to discuss the fairy etc? Otherwise I can see this getting acrimonious.

CB and SNK have GWP’s. I’ve ordered SnK if it ever arrives but have passed on CB just because I’m being good.
Sephora are about to launch 25% off sale for gold members with only a few exclusions advertised.

I’m definitely going to investigate Sarah Creal I love a hard recommendation from real people.

I think perhaps we should agree that it's not discussed on the threads and those that want to can have a PM conversation.

We had a similar situation the other year with the company whose acronym is BBC. The posts ended up getting quite personal and we all largely agreed not to promote or discuss their offers, mainly because it disrupts what is usually a happy little corner of MN.

I'm not sure one way or another the provenance of these gwp bags. I haven't purchased one since they were on Vinted. I like to be nosy and see what's on offer but have been reticent so far to engage in WA transactions. Vinted, as crappy as it is sometimes, does have processes in place for lost parcels, missing items etc.

I would also note it's a little annoying whenever they are mentioned it fills up the threads with a slew of people asking for details/PMs, sometimes usernames I don't recognise as regulars. I don't think any of us want to read pages of 'PM me please'.

That all said, despite being the OP of these threads, I'm not the thread police nor passing judgment on what people want to buy and why. These are just my thoughts on whether this particular topic is worth the cost of discussing here.

I’m here for the love, fun, tips and enabling. What’s great about this thread is how everyone is here for the beauty. I think once it starts to deviate into judgement it looses the purpose and friendliness of the thread. I support @OvaHere for these things to be PM and/or @SheilaFentiman idea of a new thread.

I’ve got a SbyA burgundy mascara and I just haven’t been brave enough to try it for the same reasons. I’m a boring black only mascara kind of gal. I don’t think I’ve ever tried a different colour. I’m also a bit scared that I will love it because I have years of supply of black mascara.

Me too. I discovered Umeboshi, Japanese plums. Stupidly expensive and in a tiny jar, but so delicious 😍
