Beauty Advent Calendars Thread 13 - lucky for us, unlucky for Ryan the Bot

[SheilaFentiman]

Welcome to Thread 13 and happy unboxing to all who sail (sale??) in her as we swap tips, tricks, frustrations and joys of the BAC/FAC journey.

Not too long until Black Friday discounts so keep your fingers crossed and some room on your credit card

Key link for all the calendars via the very lovely MaryBD of the calendars https://beauty-detective.com/category/beauty-advent-calendars/

Though lots of ACs are out of stock already, so beware (and extra double beware of anything Selfridges Fragrance related!!)

I dont see anything about a presale offer, do you have a link?

The link isn’t live until 1/11/2026

Oh ok, thank you.

Should have said it included , cleansing balm , pro collagen marine cream , pro collagen marine oil , shower cream, body lotion . I know one of the scents is Amber and Sandalwood.

Is the fig cleansing balm included as an option? The only one I like.

@hattie43
Do you know what the sizes of the products are because they are often diddy.

@hattie43 do you have a link you could share?

I see John Lewis have some new beauty boxes just launched. You can view them on the app in the rewards section.

Not showing anything on john lewis app for me. Why do they make things so hard to find? 🤷

Are you a member of My John Lewis? The boxes show under your rewards section

i saw them as well but I had to scroll right now. You can't see anything unless you scroll right to the bottom.

I can't see any of the beauty boxes. I have got 30% of Lumene and seems to work on the advent calendar bringing it to £69.99. Debating about whether to get it.

@Cyan7867 I think the 30% off Lumene finishes today.

I bought the advent in the Jan sale last year (well, this year, I guess - Jan 2026) and it was a good one.

@pinkchampagne1
Oh found it thanks. See more? You'd think they'd be front and centre not random stuff put there i have no interest in 🤣
Now too decide which ones

This is all I can see so far

@RipplePlease6 I’ve bought the Elemis QVC set for a few years and they are always full size products.

I’ll be giving it a miss this year simply because I’ve still got a few sets from last year, and an Elemis oil which I’m yet to use from last year (from a BAC).

Thank you for the pic @hattie43 . I think it will be a pass for me this year. Last year it included the night cream, which I love, but I really don’t like facial oils. Off to look for something else to satisfy my urge to spend 🤣

MaryBD has done a 'best makeup AC' round up. Love the Nabla tin!

@Thelifeofawife
Ah that sounds great.
So they’re available from 1st November?

Oohh the John Lewis beauty boxes look good. Might buy one and divide up for DD and DIL.
Men’s grooming box also looks nice.

If anyone is interested in SNK advent, you can get 20% off first orders using code FIRST20 which takes it down to £220. You could use a different email address if it isn’t your first order. Shame it doesn’t stack with the gwp

Bless Me, fellow beauty addicts, for I have sinned. This is not my first confession.

I bought the SFAC off EBay for £290.

It arrived today and I must say, I MUCH prefer it to the HFAC. I may even sell the Harrods.

I am not sorry, but I am poor. However, I will smell divine to the end of my days.

I may try it; was hoping to buy it with amazing gift with purchase box noted above somewhere, but they've clearly changed their settings to not allow it so didn't :/

And it won't let me add the FIRST20 code which is rubbish ... offer it to loyal people with accounts not just one offs!
