Hmmm, it does seem like a bargain compared with everything else, but there's too much hair and not enough body for me. Plus its got a full size PK Elasticizer, and it's ubiquitous presence in nearly every single BAC just puts me right off.

I ordered the Selfridges perfume and then cancelled about an hour later! I want it but this is day 1 of not buying everything that goes on sale!
I have 4 of the perfumes already so I want to smell the other 6 first and I'll pick up any that I like on ebay/vinted.

I bought the Selfridges Fragrance Edit. I’ve been having such a happy time trying out the different ones from the SFAC I couldn’t resist.

So I am now going to have to try to resist all spending (until Black Friday at least…).

Yes, I'm reigning myself in a bit now (easy to say now I've bought quite a lot🤐). I'm a metalsmith and the hideous price of gold and silver is as good as its been for 6 months, so I'm going to divert some BAC money into a bit of bullion.

Unless there's a second drop of the HHFC, in which case, all bets are off

Has anyone actually got the Harrods Hair and Beauty advent?

It obviously has the Harrods shop design outline, but otherwise looks a bit like a standard M&S type of box in the photos - lift-top lid with boxes.

However, if it’s got any kind of wow-factor visual display spectacle about it in real life, that would definitely compensate for the PK for me and tip me over the edge to buy it for the dopamine!

I’ve got it. I’ve not really paid much attention to it but it seems to fit nicely in terms of styling with their beauty AC. I wouldn’t say either are wow. I much prefer the Liberty one or F&M (which I still haven’t purchased) and are more wow styled.

Finally received the Look Fantastic FAC today, one month after ordering. The outer packaging looks like it’s been mauled by a bear. I’m a bit nervous to open it.

Meanwhile, I received replacements for the order from Sephora that was delivered elsewhere and they also refunded me for something they did actually deliver.

I have it, it’s a pretty shade of pink and the same packaging style as the BAC. I would much rather have a Liberty style box, looks so much nicer on display.

Update on the SFAC: all intact, no breakages and no damage. Very pleased even if I did pay more than the RRP. It’s now going away until Christmas Day

Could I ask if you managed to negotiate with a scalper at all or did you go for 280£+ price? Eyeing ebay myself but no price drop on the horizon

I brought it on Vinted. I’d sold quite a bit and had accumulated the funds to cover it. My maths made it “free”. The reality is it cost me £302 including fees and delivery.

@PositiveVibesnSmellsOnly My husband bought one on eBay, he offered £280, postage was £10. I would make some offers, the worst they can do is say no. If they refuse move on to the next one in the list. Hopefully someone will accept.

Did anyone get the M&S Food Hall AC? Did anyone even see it? Just picked up the Christmas food brochure and it was in there but when I went on to the website it’s sold out. The brochure said there was limited availability but I’m in my local M&S Food regularly and didn’t even get a sniff of it.

It was online only and sold out fairly quickly.

I didn’t buy it because the price to contents cost ratio wasn’t high enough for me (contents worth slightly more than the price of calendar).

I’m sorry now though, because I think it would be a nice daily treat and I could have re-used the box in future years to refill with my own goodies.

Was in M&S tonight and they had lots of BAC on display for sale

Manchester has plenty for sale, but they aren't really showing off the contents of the box. I had to ask an assistant if there was a display anywhere, and it was near the escalator, below my 5' 3" eye level. I wouldn't have spotted it myself.

I literally thought about doing a 12 day one for my DDs for the first time this year! They just raid my bench for the bits they want though, so they'd probably wonder why I'd bothered

In Newbury they had one open on display in the same place as the boxes for sale
