Welcome to the 12th thread, we still have 50 days till the daily unboxing officially starts, although I very much doubt any of our calendars will remain untouched until then 😂

I am building a personalised advent calendar for my sister and have been buying things on Vinted but have been struggling with bad sellers selling fake, opened, or damaged products.

There is a userlist from Mumsnetter users floating around somewhere. I dont sell on vinted UK myself. I have traded and sold via the FB page we have whilst being in the UK. Im not UK based so not good at the moment as Im back home.

I’m going to London this afternoon, would I be wasting my time visiting Selfridges on the off chance they may have one?!

I brought the SFAC on eBay last night for £288 all in which I was happy with. However the seller thinks they can get more for it and now we’re in a stand off over who’s cancelling it. Spinning me a line that he’d have to create a case and it could take some time…. I want to be able to leave bad feedback 🤣

Id offer to create a new thread but don't have the faintest idea how to do it.

Selfridges didn’t have any of the calendars in stock in store yesterday. The staff were shell shocked after the day they had had according to a poster on here.

Can your eBay seller do that? Presumably he agreed to the price? Annoying!

Arent there consequences for Ebay sellers though? On Vinted its absolute garbage but I thought Ebay was better for it. I remember seleen can even get bannen if they do it too often but that was a long time ago.

Maybe @IDontHateRainbows knows more on how that works

My fenwick is out for delivery - exciting! I do think I have become addicted to the postman's knock bringing all these advent calendar goodies and deals. I do sell a lot on, but I can't deny the domaine rush of buying the new stuff.

Didn't you already get Fenwicks when they first released? Maybe I'm mixing you up with someone else.

I'm so tempted by the Fenwicks and GWP but I mustn't. Fenwicks was one that I liked at first look so was under serious consideration but in the end I preferred F&M.
I also bought CB, (never in the running but the discount code and £20 voucher pulled me in) and Boots Korean, (into which I added most of the contents of the Boots K&J beauty box.) I don't get through products quickly; I'm very lax with my routines and have loads of stash. Must resist.

I bought JoRaRaRa's spare one. Couldn't get one directly. I'm very happy to have it. Just hope I do turn out to like the perfumes after all!

My OH loves Gruum, he has a subscription for it. however without knowing what's in the AC I haven't bought it.

I have the British Airways one, so earn Avios for my spend and a 241 voucher if you spend enough (which I don't, but DP does on his).

I'm not a fan personally, I've had a few bits and the best I can say is that they're functional. I quite liked the candle I tried though. On the other hand my OH liked the shampoo bar he tried but he's very much a soap and water man and anything fancier is wasted on him 😅

A couple of Christmasses ago, we were feeling fancy and ordered Christmas food from F&M. The scotch eggs never arrived. Now, believe it or not, I'm not actually that fancy (shocker) and I proper love a scotch egg. My fiance made me some from scratch for one of our early dates. I've probably made my point. Anyway, I ended up in a very dissatisfactory exchange with F&M via Whatsapp over the Christmas period where they were not entirely sure what had happened to the scotch eggs, they might be delayed (? By a social engagement?), then ultimately they decided they weren't coming and in the New Year I got a refund from someone that clearly did not recognise the importance of scotch eggs.

What do you mean, obviously I'm over it, I'm not a weirdo.

Meanwhile, on a more sane note, the F&M BAC arrived and it is beautiful and everything is present and correct. Unlike the scotch eggs <grumbling>

Just catching up with the thread (again) and had to pause and acknowledge this post@DidILeaveTheGasOnit really made me laugh - so sorry about your scotch eggs! Flowers
