Beauty Advent Calendars Thread 12 - reeling in the aftermath of SFAC, we soldier on... 💄💋

[LightandBreezy]

Welcome to the 12th thread, we still have 50 days till the daily unboxing officially starts, although I very much doubt any of our calendars will remain untouched until then 😂
Still time for lots more friendly chat, tips and discount codes - to cut down on links as a poster requested, here's link to some very comprehensive run-downs of the calendars https://beauty-detective.com/category/beauty-advent-calendars/
When enjoying those breakdowns please remember that some are OOS already - Harrod's Fragrance, Harrod's Beauty and Selfridges Beauty to name a few.

I've tried clicking through Google and it doesn't work. So maybe it's what @OvaHere says and those who've bought it can't join the queue. Glad it's checking for bots and those who've bought before though. Hopefully more genuine customers will get it, though I suspect it'll be mostly resellers. Annoying for those who bought in the last round and had their orders cancelled due to no stock.

The queue is actually moving quite quickly today, but I don't hold out much hope. I've still got the calendar in my wishlist in one of the tabs I've got open, but when I click on 'add to bag' it says its out of stock. I can also see the calendar on a couple of other tabs, but can't add it to my wishlist.

Woohoo 🎊🥳

@Beautyfox You're a bad influence! 😂 Just ordered Fenwicks! I think I've got the beauty bag, but I only ordered the advent 🤔

My wish list doesn’t work and it wouldn’t take me to the queue. Only via the search for the product in a browser that did the security check and gave the queue

Aargh, I just got through the queue and it’s out of stock 😩😩

Sold out again!

That’s wonderful. It wouldn’t add for me unless I had 2 products in. I hope you love every drawer.

It sounds as though they only had a very small number available today - my queue number went down by 3,000.

I haven't managed to get one, and its just showing as OOS for me too

totally missed the SFAC and its not even showing on the website for me

What was interesting was that the browser that gave me a very low queue number was the same one I had the other day where I got to the front of the queue but then missed that I had, I didn’t get a notification and when I realised, it had sold out. 🤦‍♀️ Today I got an audible notification. Then oddly the price for it in my basket was £400 but when I went through to pay corrected itself. The website is a mess.

Safe to say devastated is an understatement

Ohh so close! 😞

🥳🥳🥳 at least someone 💃

I'm starting to feel the same way about Selfridges as I do about Nigel Farage.

🤣

Aside from eBay/vinted, I’ve noticed over the past few days that there are loads of random websites selling SFAC, like the one below. Selfridges are majorly fucked up. How have they allowed all these ‘businesses’ to get hold 100s of their calendars to sell at inflated prices.

@MidnightMeltdown oh wow! That is so bad! I wonder if there's anything selfridges can do about it 🤔

@Noeggsontoast what time did you load up the page on your browser? I saw someone say that they had been sitting on the page since 8 ish this morning and managed to get one.

I’ve just received my F&M. It’s truly a thing of beauty! I can’t get door number 2 to open though. Did anyone else struggle?

The contents of the Fenwick gwp for anyone tempted.

Mine has just arrived too! Haven’t opened it yet though

Sorted, just needed to tilt the calendar a bit. Just mentioning in case anyone else has same issue.

Sorry, didn’t post image so will try again
