I don’t know why they have paused the queue. If you put it in your wish list now it says it is out of stock. If they had any sense they would redirect everyone in the queue who has been unsuccessful to another good fragrance deal as a consolation prize.

I’ve given up now. I was going to treat myself for my birthday next week, but I think I might get the newly released Liberty bath edit with my BD credit instead, that sounds a lot more relaxing than this stressful scrum!

Hey! A dedicated observer here :) very much enjoy reading these but on a tight budget so don't tend to buy more than one calendar per year. I love fragrance and was trying to get Selfridges one last week and today but to no avail. If anyone managed to purchase and would like to sell, please let me know! I do not want to buy off ebay or Vinted and support people who do this for profit... Thank you!

What. A. Shitshow. I wasn't buying myself as luckily got hold of one through a very kind mn'er but was gunning for you all today! The only possible consolation is that the prices on selling sites are bound to go down as they all try to undercut each other so if you desperately want one but don't want to pay full scalper price I reckon wait it out a few weeks.

If it drops to under £200 on eBay I might consider it!

Had Edge and chrome open on laptop, safari on DH'S ipad, the app on my phone and the website on DH's phone. Android phones only, we don't have an iPhone.

Last night on a "practice run" the Add to basket button flashed up, so I was able to position the screen so I could click before it vanished. It didn't add to basket because the stock wasn't loaded yet. But this morning the Add to basket button never appeared.

Are you f-ing kidding me. I went there last week and no one knew everything. Supposedly. And now stock has been allocated? Wtf.

This has been pretty wild, clearly no improved systems since the first drop. It really has been worse than the Glastonbury ticket sale. Well done to the few that have managed to nab it so far.

I made a couple of offers for 270 but both rejected. I refuse to pay much more. Scalpers can sit on them until the hype dies down, as far as I’m concerned.

Returned from an early meeting to 153 posts on this thread. I really hoped it would play out differently this time. What an absolute mess. I'm so sorry to those that couldn't find a hack to buy it - how has it got to the point where you need to find a hack to make a legitimate purchase?!

Wow just back radiotherapy session and logged on hoping to read loads had managed to snag an advent . Sounds worse than last week. What a nightmare. I checked to see what number I would be 212912 . It does say queue is paused and will reopen soon so I would hang in there it doesn't sound like it is completely over

Makes Harrods look like they know what they are doing! I also think no point having this multiple release bullshit, unless of course they are just doing it to create buying frenzy, would rather they just release what they have in a one and done like Harrods did.

Queue paused and I suppose it doesnt really matter what that means as I have over 15.6k ahead of me anyway. I guess its not for me.

I think "the queue will re-open soon" is about as optimistic as "almost there, there are only eleventy squillion people in front of you"

Going to see if I can score a Harrods one on Ebay at some point with minimal profit for the seller.

It's put me right off shopping at Selfridges again. I really don't see why, if they want to look after their actual customers, the stores can't come up with a better system - one per address maybe? Or you have to have an account verified by email for the first hour? There must be something.

They seem to have disabled the browser wishlist hack. Wishlist still works in the app but just takes you to the paused queue. It's a shame because the hack seemed to be the only way most ordinary buyers were getting one. I think the professional scalpers had different methods.

So I have an order number an money has been taken out of my bank account via Klarna, but the status says order cancelled, what a bloody joke. Raised with CS she said she will pass it on to the head office and I will hear back within 36 to 48 hrs but sure what good is that gonna do if they will be sold out by then 🤦🏻‍♀️ I do have one coning from ebay so here is hoping all id well with that one 🤞🤞🤞

If they are planning a third drop, they might be able to sort it for you. But that really socks- to have the euphoria of getting to an order number, then... cancelled. Ouch!

This is just making me appreciate my HFAC more. I hope next year Selfridges end up with so much stock they have to reduce it and any scalpers that have bought stuff this year has it arrive full of smashed bottles 🤬

I'm 11000 in the queue. Thinking it's prob not worth holding out for the queue to reopen!

I am now wondering how the hell I managed to get the SBAC as I went through the queue system after at least an hr later than it started. the barclays payment failure was so weird. The whole website looked like it was being hacked.
