Can I go shorter

I recently chopped off my outgrown bob to a much shorter bob. I’m feeling the pull to go shorter. Im 60, and to be honest feeling a little depressed and overwhelmed in general with life at the moment, have a lot of caring responsibilities, as well as a grown up disabled son. Plus my hair is thinning, and I don’t have the energy to blow dry/style all the time. I do need to look a little presentable for my part-time job. I don’t like wearing earrings these days, so I worry that I’d need to wear earrings or make up to look presentable with short hair.

so could I go shorter?

I think it's actually just the right length if u go any shorter u will look more masculine and harsh !
How it is right now looks like a french bob and looks intentional .
If U want the masculine look yes go for it if not keep it where it is .
I do love a short bob it suits u !
Also sometimes having longer hair is easier now I've grown mine I just tie it up when I get fed up ! I felt like I was constantly styling it when it was a bob

I have a friend, same age as you and similar face. She has short hair with a long fringe which she styles upwards and it looks amazing. She doesn't look masculine at all.
Think like Pinks hair.

I say go for it, and if you don't love it, it will grow back.

I like it this length. Any shorter may require a surprising amount of daily styling to look nice (thinking about Pink).

I have just got a chin length bob and it's too short on me. Needs way too much styling.

But I also think you could go shorter if it were a definite statement (which might involve attention that you don't want to give it).

I can't see how you'd look "masculine" with shorter hair. You'll look like you, with shorter hair!
Go for it. If you don't like it, it'll grow out.

Second: I would keep the length at the front but you’d look great with the classic “Vidal sassoon” bob style where it’s shorter at the back and longer at the front

You’ve got lovely hair, the shape, style and colour really work with your features. You look really glamorous (even if you don’t feel it).

Shorter usually needs more styling but doesn’t make people look more masculine 🙄

I think it looks lovely! And it’s a gorgeous colour too. You have a sharp jawline and amazing cheekbones so I think you could also pull off a really chic pixie cut.

If you’re on Instagram there’s an American hairdresser called Jayne Matthews who does gorgeous cuts on all types of hair. She’s does French bobs (like yours), short cuts, 60s styles and shags. Might give you some inspiration. Also the hair bros in the UK are great too! But I think you look absolutely lovely! ♥️

I like your hair. However if you want to go shorter cut it. It will grow back. I went for a grade 2 start of Covid to see what it looked like. Still have the same style now because I love it. I rarely wear makeup keep very basic earrings in and no one has ever said that I look masculine or harsh. It’s genuinely the best haircut I have ever had 🤣🤣

Also people mentioning Pink as an example of short hair, I don’t think that kind of style would suit you. It’s a very early 2000s style and I think you would suit a more classic crop.

I’m thinking young Winona Ryder or Sienna Miller when they had short hair.

Or even in between like Gracie Abrams. She’s in the new Chanel perfume ad.

I think you could totally rock a pixie cut. You have the face structure for it. I used to have one, tempted to do it again actually. The thing is too, if you don’t like it, hair grows!

You can go shorter, but not in a bob, this length is good, you could have it make a little choppier with a long side fringe,

Keep the bob but take it up half an inch

Wow you have stunning features and your colour is gorgeous. You really suit this, is your hair wavy/curly? You could add layers choppy not quite a pixie that could dry on it own or blast with a dryer. I have fine hair but lots and I had a similar cut when I was ill 4 years ago. It dried wavy or a blast with a dryer sorted it. X
