Keratin treatment ... wow!

I have naturally frizzy hair... neither straight nor curly, but poofy, and at the slightest hint of rain or damp I turn into Hagrid. I straighten it mostly.
I don't spend much on myself but decided to treat myself to Keratin treatment.

It works. It actually bloody works! Had it done last week, my hair felt great and smooth if a little flat (they did the treatment then straightened it for me)
Walked the dog in the damp... no frizz. Got rained on today... no frizz... and post washing didn't need the GHDs, just a blast with the hairdryer and it's soft and smooth.
Just in case anyone is considering it... I think it's actually worth it!

I am coming up to my third anniversary of starting to have it done and I can honestly say it’s been life changing. I love the fact I no longer have to think about my hair. I think the effect of it must build up over time (even though that’s not technically possible!) as I can go longer between treatments and can leave my hair to air dry. There’s a couple of weeks after each treatment when it feels a bit too flat and lifeless but that is the only downside. For the other 48 weeks of the year, it’s great!

How often does it need doing? I’m very tempted.

Can we see a pick. My hair is fine and fluffy and goes poofy at the first hint of moisture.

Yes how often and cost please?

Depends how frizzy your hair is and how fast it grows. Any new growth won’t have had the treatment so if your hair is quite curly or frizzy, you end up with frizzy roots and straight lengths and it looks very odd !

Do you get fuzzy regrowth though? And does it look weird?

Oh thanks, cross posted asking a PP about that!

I can vouch for it too, I've been so pleased. My first treatment lasted 5 months because I left it to air dry naturally. It's still got body and some wave but no frizz, actually shines and feels soft. Expensive but really worth it.

I've had it done on 3 occasions over 15 years and each time it doesn't work on my hair.

I had one of these that was meant to work on curly hair
They said I wouldn’t lose my curl. I would just have nice smooth glossy hair that didn’t frizz.

They lied. I totally lost my curl. I’ve seen it worked brilliantly on people who are happy with straight hair, but I didn’t want that.

I've had it done three times in about ten years.. The first time was amazing, the second time was great. The third time absolutely destroyed my hair..My naturally full hair was so flat and lifetess. My hair broke off halfway so the bottom half of my hair was so thin it became see through. It never fully recovered from the third treatment.

I have peri menopause hair now and its naturally thinned out. I'd love my naturally thick hair and volume back.
