I am still considering Shiseido and Lush. I was so keen on Fenwick too. It feels like the one that got away, but equally like that part of the gig where the band stands backstage pretending they’ve gone home, and the audience starts chanting and clapping. I wonder if they’re going for a strategic relaunch based on predictable buyer behaviour during Black Friday. It’s intriguing.

Also, how tf did I go from one calendar to eight?!

@Breadcat24 if you're not going to use that bag of advent calendar stuff, instead of spending more money on an empty box and keeping it all longer which might make it pass it's expiry date, maybe just donate it now to a women's shelter? 😊 If you just want the thrill of opening the drawers, maybe just get a nice chocolate one or something that you're more likely to use 🥰

Yes I’ve just had another look and it’s available. It definitely said out of stock so maybe they’re struggling to keep on top of the numbers .

I like the Fenwick but I am going to hold out for selfridges FAC if I can’t get it I will come back to it but if it’s sold out by then it’s out of my hands 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve got the HFBAC and ELLE . However I bought quite a few edits this year I’ve made up a BAC for my mum annnndddd a few really nice make bits from Vinted to add to Elle and the Mindtd box that I’ve also blind stuffed into my Elle can’t lift that big boy now 😂

given that I’ve just finished some bits from 2024 SNK BAC and the Liberty from last year I know I don’t need anymore .

again doesn’t mean I don’t want more , but I just know I won’t get round to selling stuff so it’s just not affordable .

I feel like I've totally messed up with advents this year through a mix of FOMO and daftness - I bought the HFAC despite knowing I wasn't keen on a bunch of the fragrances, but was so gutted about missing last year's I impulse bought on first release. I've just got home after 6 weeks working away and am mystified by my thought processes 😂There were 2 I hadn't smelt yet (the Floraiku and the Jo Malone) and I tested the JM one in London yesterday and it's nice but not my thing really. So the only one I think I like is the Jeroboam Gozo. It's all still unopened and perfect so I'm thinking I'll just put it on ebay, maybe after I've gone to Harrods to check how I feel about Brompton Immortals - I don't know why I'm so convinced I should love this, but it's worth a try given I went nose blind pretty quickly. I also bought the JLFAC and am returning it as I have a few of the fragrances already, don't really want a load more minis and have realised I really only want the Gris Charnel. I'm blaming that purchase on comfort-shopping after a very stressful work week. And finally, the only one I still want, the BT one - I've not got the job I hoped for in Ireland, they offered me a UK based post instead, so I can't collect it - I am back in Dubs for the 10th of December but I very much doubt they'll hold it for me that long - what a series of advent fails! 😬😂

@Breadcat24 As the saying goes, you do you, babes. I’m not sure we really needed the lecture though. We’re a lovely bunch on here and all perfectly capable of using our own brains to decide what the right thing to do is. I’m here for the pure joy and escapism, not to be made to feel bad or like I’ve not got my brain switched on. I’m sure whatever you decide to do in the end will be right for you and sit right with you x

Hi all, I love this thread.
I normally buy the temple spa advent calendar but I’ve got so many unused temple spa products and I have backed up unopenedover the last few years. I’m looking at a different advent calendar..
I also buy the M&S calendar for my early 20s daughters who do not really do much make-up other than mascara and eyeliner. There’s normally loads in there they don’t like which I inherit too.
What do you recommend for 20 something young women up £120.
I am bamboozled by all the choice. I am also looking for one for me.
I need to narrow down the choice and love idea of value for money.
No candles or perfume AC only asI can’t see how to ever use them up. I’ve got many perfumes already.

I had it last year and it was similar; lots of very useable products, nothing too OTT. The only thing they might not use is the lashes but they're not a high value item.
