Does this tattoo look odd?

Do you think it looks disjointed? I had the butterfly first - then the sunflower but the butterfly was faded and looked lost next to the sunflower so I had the rest done to try to join in. 1st photo is what I had done, 2nd is what chat GPT suggests I could do.

Is there an image missing? I'm not seeing difference other than cling film!

@GreenFootstoolthe photo on the left is the AI mock up sorry, it just added the trail around the sunflower and the butterfly on top to make it a bit more connected!

So you haven’t really got those black wispy waves it’s AI? I think it looks ok, not brilliant but nothing I’d complain about if it’s what you asked for. Do you like it? That really is all that matters.

edited to say I’ve decided why it looks a bit odd, it’s because butterfly’s are usually on top of flowers not hanging around the bottom!

@Favouritefruits I have the wipsy waves but only on my foot not around the sunflower, the photo on the right is the unedited photo of it.
Thay could be why actually! I think I’ll get one added above it like in the AI mock up, I wouldn’t have got butterflies underneath if I hadn’t have had the one already from when I was about 18 🤦🏻‍♀️

Looking at It I would also make the stalk a bit longer on the sunflower 🌻 so it goes behind the butterfly that way it will look more connected HTH

I would keep it as is now rather than the wispy bits round the sunflower.

I like the AI version, much more "joined up" and agree with PP about elongating the sunflower stem

Hmm, yes it's a bit sparse to me tbh. Could you mock it up with additional flowers in and around it? To tie it all together perhaps.

The top butterfly is a good suggestion as it seems odd that butterflies are at the bottom of a sunflower but even just one at the top makes more sense. Unless the 3 are symbolic then maybe a bird/ladybird and a longer stem?

The AI versions look crap. Can you not speak to a tattooist and see what they suggest?

I think I’d favour having amputation below the knee than having that on my leg.

Could you make the sunflower look “more complicated”?

I think part of the issue is that the ‘picture’ is wrong - we’re used to seeing butterflies above flowers, but on this one the initial impression is that they’re burrowing which is a bit odd. Especially as the grey bits look a bit like soil.

I agree with turning the grey bits into vines or more flower stems.

i think first find a really talented tattoo artist and have the whole thing redesigned with them, rather than going in with these ideas. Sorry OP, but the images are not good quality work at all and someone who knows what they’re doing can rescue it, I’m sure. Good luck 🍀

I like the latest picture you've posted @PrincessLasange it looks more like an actual design than bits cobbled together.

I think trying to join up disjointed and different tattoos makes them look worse. The wispy bits look like hasty scribbles. Just leave the different bits and accept you’re a patchwork and not a single masterpiece.

i Have just had my second tattoo and making sure it felt harmonious was my main concern!

I think the last picture is a huge improvement.
