Do you have the chance to change your delivery option once its on its way to a pick up point?

I want to order the BAC and ship it to a friends place but most stores have a click and collect option or a drop off point. Harrods seems to have neither

The only option I had was delivery to an address but I could change the address if I wanted. But I’m in Ireland so it may be different here.

I don't know if I'd missed the You Beauty BAC or if the contents have only just been announced, but I really like the look of it and the price is very reasonable. I think it will be perfect to buy alongside my Harrods BAC - will give a nice mix of high end & lower end products (although the uk lash serum is in both!)

Im really tempted to get the Boots FAC, it wasnt on my radar at first but as you say its 24 days.. I might also try for the JL FAC too. I know ill be gutted if i dont have dedicated FAC in Dec.

Boots FAC is only 12 days, although some drawers contain two items. Boots plus Harrods is what gives me the 24 days.

Hi everyone, I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone running the threads and contributing to this lovely section of mumsnet.

I’ve had JL for the past 2 years but have decided not to go for it this year. I am tempted by SNK and have the 9.30-11.30 slot tomorrow but still not 100% sold on it. I’m tempted to refill my JL calendar from last year and have already picked up a few bits from Vinted so also very interested in Vinted & EBay details please as would much rather buy from you lovely people.

Instead of getting ready for work last night I dug through my DIY FAC and refilled Liberty a/c to check what I had put in there.

As I suspected, I had created a few of my very own DODs by putting in items that I already had duplicates of, or that just were not very exciting.

I haven’t replaced stuff, just put certain things with my existing products to use as and when.

Whilst I was on an avoidance roll I removed several things from eBay - some items I just chucked, others I am giving away at work and a few bits I have decided to use myself.

I felt quite pleased with myself - work was hard work, though 😿

I’ve almost convinced myself to buy this as there’s at least 2 high end products I want to try (and loads of the cheap and cheerful).

Anyone any reviews on the Almora brand? I don’t know it, it‘s listed as their most expensive product but there’s lots on Vinted for £10/£15 which makes me suspicious.

Putting me off

Moonglaze Phases Blush Stick Blush - Mars, 3g - Shade looks quite dark, easy to end up clownish?
Marc Jacobs Cream-to-Powder Eyeshadow - 120 Delete That, 1.5g - also looks really dark, there are so many other lovely shades.

Did anyone else order it yet and get buyer's remorse? Maybe I should ask Mildred again... Or just buy the wretched thing and shut up about it...

The Elle calendar does look really good but I noticed they have put most of the high value items in the first boxes rather than spread them out. CT products seem to be in quite a few of the Christmas Day boxes this year.

I like it too @DidILeaveTheGasOn and almost ordered it the other night.

Reasons I haven’t:

Moonglaze - too dark
Marc Jacobs - ditto
Too many lip products
No eye creams
Trinny thing - no!
Setting spray - yuk!
Lash serum - double yuk!

Edited again to say: It would be just my luck if I had an allergic reaction to the bee venom, so that would be a no too!

There are a few of the Rodial bee serums around the £35 mark on Vinted.

It’s worth it for the value, if you’re good at selling off what you don’t want.

But if you’re not going to go for it, I have a Phlur cherry stem that you can have, I’ve only used it twice, it doesn’t suit me unfortunately.
I might have the nail polish as well, I’d have to double check my ridiculous stash.

For the SDJ delicia, this is my favourite shower gel at the moment, it smells lovely and I’ve RP many times. I buy it from LF when they have the double discounts on, so worth keeping an eye out there.

I decided against Selfridges, I think it was mainly the Lola at coat check that was tempting me, and I do have a small bottle of that already (amongst many other fragrances)

Just to say, as I don’t think I’ve seen it mentioned yet - Fairy has the CB signature and special BACs for £210 including delivery.
I’ve ordered a few edits from them and all have arrived quickly, no issues.

I bought 2 things on Vinted from Selfridges (Lola and Burberry lippy) and with fees/p&p ended up spending nearly £80. There's nothing else I want from that calendar so I am just about satisfied it was better than spending £250.

However, looking at your list if there's a chance you'll start trying to buy all these bits resale then just buy the calendar!
