My Harrods pre-order finally turned up today! Outer box is looking a bit bashed up but haven’t opened yet. Was there anything specific in this one to look out for?

Which one is it? I think the fragrance one has had a few issues but the beauty and h&b have both been fine, it's just the pre-order fiasco that's been the issue.

I think that must be the same for quite a few people. I've been looking out for a few things on vinted but not much is on there yet.

The BTAC is what I'd piece together if making my own AC and I was all set to order. However, Trustpilot reviews of ParcelFlow are giving me hesitation. Does anyone know of another company for shipping to England?

My SNK ordered on Tuesday has been dispatched yesterday but Harrods ordered August 24th - nothing!

@HumBumBum - some people had problems with the perfume in the HBAC being spilled so you might want to check that drawer.

I’ve just had an email confirming my SNK will be delivered tomorrow!

I just watched the Elle unboxing. It looks good after I initially said no, but I really shouldn't, as I have plenty now. I have 7 items that I have sold or will sell, and I have already filled those gaps with Vinted bargains. I am just waiting on the SR Tidal from CB and the Clarins Lip oil from JL to arrive. I also still have my Liberty Summer Frag edit unopened, ready to be decanted into random drawers too🫣
I'm also wondering whether to bother with JL FAC, as I have loads of minis kicking about. There are a couple of perfumes I would like in a full size, so I might just get them instead 👀

It's been going for a while so I think there would be more negative comments if it was that bad. From what I gather though, the actual price to ship ends up being quite a bit more than the quotes they give. And it's difficult because they don't give a quote beforehand so you have to pay it to get your item. I couldn't find any others that do it 😕

I have just bought the Sunday Riley serum that is in the CB calendar on Vinted. She had it listed for £15 which I thought was a bargain. Didn’t really need it and don’t even know if I will like it, but for that price I had to get it! 😁

I had decided not to go for Elle as I have enough if that is even possible, but the positive reviews are really swaying me 😅

I like the look of Elle too. It’s quite a well put together calendar, presentation is really lovely and seems that it’s also packaged well! Not that I need anything else to add to my huge stash. 😬

I’ve completely dismissed JM because the contents are different to what was originally listed. I have several of the perfumes already, so will probably look to buy a single bottle of the one I like and some body lotion instead.

My HFAC has been dispatched, but I won’t get excited until it’s here and it’s all present and correct. 😼

Haha I'm so glad it's someone on here that got it. I bought it for £24 this week, which means Vinted shows me every new one up for sale and I saw one listed today for £15. Looked like a legit buyer too, I was considering buying a second at that price. Absolute bargain.

I bought a trial size first and really liked it so hopefully you will too.

And me. I know it's just fomo talking so trying to ignore it. It's a good price but it's not that cheap when you've already bought 5. I will want Selfridges FAC/BT/Harrods Home FAC more if I can get them so I need to forget about other calendars for now.

I never seem to find the bargains. I probably don't search and refresh enough.

Appeal & explain the situation.
This happened to me once before, and I was able to successfully appeal and retrieve my account. However, I have now been banned again, so I am trying to appeal this decision as well and explain the situation. Hopefully they will review it and reinstate my account. 😩

Mildred informs me that I’ll have 189 products from the six BACs. I think I’m due to use about that many in the past 12 months so it doesn’t feel crazy (yeah right - the stories we tell ourselves!) but a lot of that will be fragrance which I don’t use up quickly. You’d think I would because I much prefer scented lotions and serums etc. It’s just when I’m working from home in a drab hoodie, I don’t really think, ooh yes, a nice spritz of that insanely expensive fragrance would be great to complete this look.

Might have to revisit my thinking there.

Have also been shopping for products from other BACs to stop me buying them, which has been successful (so far) so I’m slightly concerned I’m going to have a crazy amount of products by the end of this year.

Those of you who buy several calendars, how do you not end up with far too much stuff? Do you tend to sell or give away some things or do you actually use everything?

I have bought the Liberty’s one that I mainly bought just because I regretted not buying it last year and this is the last year with that artist making those style of boxes.
I have also pre-ordered Harrods’s, mostly for the skincare, but it hasn’t turned up yet.

I have become a bit obsessed with advent calendars, reading these threads, watching unboxings etc, and I am trying to resist buying any more as I think if I do I will have such a huge backlog of stuff to use.

I planned to try to sell some items as I absolutely hate waste, but looking at Vinted I feel like the items I don’t want don’t seem to be selling well.

@DidILeaveTheGasOn you are missing out. Wfh days are for spraying the stronger scents and testing out samples according to our perfumista thread champion @IDontHateRainbows . Also for trialling out makeup looks. I have a erborian CC that I hate but I have decided to put it on for cameras,my mildred said Its a great idea! Otherwise you wont hit pan on your 189 item stash.
