I went through a load of stuff I had at home yesterday on check fresh and had to throw a load out 😢 (although to be fair not as much as I thought I would).

Slightly off topic, I bought a bundle from LF (can’t remember if it was recommended on this thread or the Christmas Bargains) and was dismayed when I found out it was being delivered by Evri. Unsurprisingly it wasn’t delivered as planned yesterday (tracking still
says delivery between 8-9pm yesterday). A bit nervous now as I assume the LF BAC will also be delivered by Evri??

There’s a good app (haven’t seen it mentioned here) for checking ingredients and how good/ bad they are called Yuka if you’re worried about them.

My Elle advent calendar arrived yesterday and it's fantastic! This is my 3rd this year - I also have JL FAC and CB BAC and this is by far the best box. It's solid with clearly labelled solid drawers and magnetic closing. It came packaged with cardboard corner protectors and protected in a good solid box.

I have briefly checked all the drawers have contents and no leaky products and everything in tact and I can't wait to open it properly! Really pleased with it for the money.

Now just deciding if I need Look Fantastic or if I can live without it.... My reasoning is I would actually use the full size shampoo, conditioner and Medik8 cleanser so it's really just more of an edit for me...

I'd love to join the FB group. I've been on the AC groups since the beginning and started the long running Liberty BD threads. I've bought CB and I'm getting Space NK for my birthday. Unfortunately Mounjaro is cutting into my AC budget.

Just a word of caution around the date check sites. I know they generally fab and have used myself but I did some checking on one a bit ago and the dates werent right. It was some Sunday Riley Goodgenes. I had my suspicions as was the lactic acid version and said 6 to 8 years old. Different codes. I emailed Sunday riley to ask them and it was 18months old. I had binned some other products. I am going to use as wouldnt risk reselling and I like the product but just to make people aware they aren't 100% foolproof. ♥️

I have read that some companies recycle codes which is why check sites aren't always foolproof. It's so hard to know though. We just need proper dates on products like k beauty!

It would make life so much easier @OvaHere and so much easier to sort out our stashes and keep things in order of use by dates x

I just got round to watching the Elle unboxing. It does look pretty good. Not sure I can justify another one this week.

also grateful to be invited to the closed FB group - I've fairly infrequent posting across a few S&B threads - gift with purchase and liberty drop springing to mind. Far happier to first dibs my cast offs amongst MNers rather than the gauntlet of Vinted.

Thank you for highlighting. That's even more of a reason to do the swap and sell group. I want to get stuff listed this weekend (clothes etc) and then hopefully stop using it when the new T&C's come into play. We've all know that the buyers protection is a load of crap, they should've been more upfront like eBay and made it clear that it's a fee for them.

I went through the dates of my stash yesterday - mainly to check the 2 Sisley toners I still have from last year's Liberty BAC. I was worried as people have noted that the Sisley Cream in this year's calendar is out of date, or will be in january.

I used LotDate and it seemed fairly accurate. The Sisley toners are good to 2028 thankfully. A lot of my stash will be out of date by July 2027, including most of my Medik8 stash, so I'll be using that up quickly.

I won't be putting the short dated stuff on the FB page - unless anyone is interested in using something quickly.

You could put it on the page as long as you tell people that it's short-dated. The key thing is for everyone to be open about it all.

In other news, my Harrods BAC has been dispatched!!!!! I am so excited.

I'm also a bit daft, because I ran out of face oil this morning so I ordered some more. I then thought to ask Chatgpt if any of the 6 BACs I've ordered have face oils in them - yes, yes they do... Three, to be precise... Silly woman!

My Harrods box has been dispatched too. Sadly, the carrier is DPD. I was hoping for Evri as I’ve had the same courier for years and he’s very good.

I signed up at the end of August and received my box last week, so it did take a few weeks to come. I think there is a new one in an October too so not too long to wait for the next instalment!

I saw SNK’s a/c irl today and, I must admit - it’s more impressive than I had thought. If only it wasn’t £275!

Speaking of manufacturing codes - I wanted to check the evil-smelling Votary from last year’s Liberty a/c and the AB eye cream from the same. (There is nothing wrong with the AB - I was just curious).

Neither came in a box in the a/c and there are no codes on the bottle/jar. Liberty presumably discarded the packaging, making it impossible to check dates of manufacture as the codes were only on the outer boxes.
