Totally agree with these recommendations. Great skin care advents. Harrods a little more luxe but then the price point is bigger. Surprise, surprise, I have purchased both.

Thank you to those who commented on my earlier post - sorry, I'm a total tech dork so can't add your names on here.
I sent Liberty CS photos of the Reome gungy bottle and, at their request, of the codes from the bottom of that and the Sisley bottle.
I've just had an email to say they are passing my query on to one of their in-store colleagues who will contact me to assist further so will wait and see what happens tomorrow.
I would assume that, as the calendar is still in stock, it should just be a simple matter of taking those two products out of another calendar and sending them to me.
Let's hope so...

Beauty pie are doing a better than an advent calendar. I’m still quite unsure about this brand and particularly how they value their products. The only product I’ve tried was the serum in the BD Liberty box which was meh but I do have a few other products to try so will reserve judgement.

thats exactly what they did for me, the store are managing the advent stuff ( unlike Harrods where they definitely aren’t!). I had an email confirming they were sending replacements out. Hopefully all resolved for you tomorrow and I think that’s the key, companies have issues but for me it’s about how they resolve them and Liberty have been fab.

@Beebeez - I much prefer Diptyque to Penhaligon’s - the Diptyque calendar is beautiful and the scents are lovely.

I can’t get on with Penhaligon’s at all - their perfumes smell vile on me. Tbf, their a/c boxes do look lovely.

That was me @Insuffishcakes - I felt the same after chucking loads of my stash! I then bought some HG eyeshadow to replace what I had thrown out.

I am pleased that ELauder have stopped using talc, so I was able to use the palette from last year’s Blockbuster set.

Btw: Be careful with Trinnie products - they put talc in loads of their stuff.

SK are releasing a new beauty box soon. I am wondering whether I should order this instead of an advent calendar. It will depend what is in it, though - I don’t want any more spot patches or redness reducing creams!

I wish now that I had kept the special boxes I bought in their FESTA promotion to use as an a/c rather than unpacking everything and putting it into rotation.

I opened Elle advent calendar as soon as it arrived. Can confirm that it is a lovely calendar. The box really well made, the products in flesh looked even more appealing that contents list and unboxing videos. I always buy one of those “luxury” calendars for December, Elle calendar was definitely up there with likes of SNK, Liberty etc

I think I'll continue the cull this weekend, between talc and expiry dates it should thin things out a bit

I’ve just looked on the Selfridges app and they’ve got the Armani BAC at £135, which is half price, if anyone’s interested. I don’t know if it might be last year’s stock thst they’ve just found but it seems a bargain if it’s things you would use.

Looks like last years stock. Not a massive armani fan myself but hope some others on here may like it.

Well I caved... I ordered the Harrods Frag from a reseller on Ebay. They asked 65 pounds more for it and its a tenner for shipping. Still good value for money. I just hope the shitty post companies in the UK wont fudge it up.

I compared it to Selfridges and i think Harrods is more in my lane. Even my Chat gpt says Harrods will probably be more appealing to me. And I know im going to at least really love 3 of the perfumes and very curious about another 4. Ill sell off the Thameen, the Borntostandout, MFK Oud whatever and the Jeroboam for sure. That will get me half off the money back so the rest is a steal.

Not sure if Im going for the Selfridges frag now. Im more curious about the Harrods home one. I hope they show us whats in it before it gets on sale so people can make proper choices.

And getting the Harrods frag made the Selfridges Bac less appealing as well as im not as bothered any more about the perfumes that are inside.

Still cold about SNK ans seeing the utter garbage CB is providing Im happy I avoided it like the plague.

Ooh that's a good deal. I liked the look of this year's one because I like a lot of their makeup, but wouldn't spend that much on a single brand BAC. Will go and see what shades are in that version now.

I bought 2024's last year from TKMaxx. The make up was quite nice but I don't think I'd bother again.

Yeah, i wouldve bought it directly from Harrods as well for that price. I just dont have much faith in the postal services hearing all the horror stories over here. But I wanted it so bad haha

I forgot to ask if you unboxed your Skins one, mine has made it to Ireland will take a couple of weeks before it lands on my doorstep but loved last years and love the look of the box this year

Im already wearing a perfume from it and getting compliments from strangers. So I ordered a small bundle from Vinted containing this one, Athenais and the SkinsxJhag one at a bargain price.

Ive sold off a couple of items as well. Dont like the masucline perfumes. They are fine if I smell them on others, I just dont want to smell that way. And I dont wear make up.

I think the previous year was better but its still a beautiful box to have in your room. Are you going to open it per day or unbox it the moment it hits your doorstep?

I am lucky and have a friend who is also a skincare/ fragrance addict and they have a Southern and Northern Ireland address, Skins won’t deliver to Northern Ireland so not sure Parcel Flow would work.
I am busy sending over their Harrods fragrance advent and in return they will send my Skins and Brown Thomas (when ordered.)

I'm a little surprised at the price point of the Beautypie AC. I really like the Orange Absolute Intense Eau de Parfum for this time of year and just finished a bottle of it, and the micro-caviar overnight mask is lovely, but I'm surprised they've included so many make up products. Their skincare and haircare is great - although I agree about the superdrops niacinimide serum in the BD box, it does nothing - and think they should have focused a calendar on those categories. If they'd included the hair oil and priced it at £150 I would have be interested, but £249 is way too high.

Ooh skins advent looks great. Especially for someone that wants a selection of fragrances. I hadn’t seen that one. Enjoy @MrsBnow12😍
