Sorry to hear you've not had a great experience with your calendar. If its any consolation, I found their customer service very quick to sort my leaky broth and I received a replacement within the week. Mine was one of the ones that turned up with a £5 price sticker and I got nowhere complaining about that but at least my calendar is as it should be now. They're a lot better than Cult Beauty for sorting issues in my experience so you should be ok.

Well I’ve never owned anything from Diptyque before and I’m seeing it as a birthday present not an advent calendar, plus it will show me what the fragrances are like :) I don’t know enough about Penhaligons to drop £430 on it. It doesn’t even have a description of what’s in it on the website. I’m sure most people who love the brand can recognise the scents but I’ve no idea.

That is a lovely idea. My DH is usually happy with just a Lindt advent calendar but it is something I will have to think about. 😊

I really like the look of the Elle calendar

You will love it. It's such a luxury and to have all those gorgeous perfumes to try, you'll be in 7th heaven. The solid perfume is a real treat too in a gorgeous collectable case, not to mention all the lovely candles. I found they did give off beautiful scent, and I'm saving a few for this winter. Having tried all the different ones I'll probably order a large candle (maybe 2) for winter. I liked Ambre and Feu du Bois from the selection last year.

but I already have Harrods, Boots Luxe and SNK, so plenty of skincare. Trying to remind myself that I want to use up all products 🎀 it takes me probably 6 months to finish one face serum 🫥

I too really want Elle after watching this. I really can't though or no one else will get anything for Christmas this year and I don't think me having dewy skin and looking ten years younger is on anyone's present list but mine 😅

Is it just me or do the pics of the Diptyque advent calendar look a bit like AI?

Don’t get me wrong, I’d be absolutely thrilled to bits if someone bought it for it for me - the stuff of absolute dreams! But it does a look a bit weird.

Hi all - long time lurker here! I’ve been watching the BAC threads on and off for a couple of years without actually purchasing anything other than the M&S one last year. This year I would like to get something a little more luxurious. I’m late 50s and don’t wear much make up (although maybe I should) and hair care products are a no for me. So I would like a calendar aimed at the more mature, mostly skincare maybe with a few make up basics. Ideally to spend less than £200 but could be persuaded to go a bit higher if it was really worth it. Hoping that you lovely ladies can point me in the right direction!

@Lazydaiz I think you'd really like the Harrods, but for under £200, I think Elle could be best for you 🥰 Both are mostly skincare with easy to wear makeup included. I think both of them would be a nice treat 🩷

im not sure who asked about teens the thread moves fast but I’ve just seen this and thought of you bought a box from Vinted this would go towards filling ? )My eldest is ten and I’m trying to explain the vitues of deodorant 🤣 but I’m looking forward to the day she cares about her beautiful skin . Currently I am still moisturising her body and slathering on all of my most precious hair care on her extensive hair 😬🥴)

Thank you to whoever said they weren't getting a calendar because there was a palette with talc in it. I don't know how I missed that. Just went through all my eyeshadows and have had to bin 18 of them.
I suppose now I have more space I could fit in another cheeky calendar
