I managed to argue it with a manager and finally got £35. I wouldn't give up. It's their mistake. I was going round in circles with her and so close to giving up but it's an £82 product. They've advertised it with that product included and the value, I've bought it in good faith and expect to receive a complete item. You've decided to buy the advent calendar based on the advertised products.

Hello, a long time lurker here.
Follow you all avidly but never feel I have much to offer as a relative newbie; is it possible to be shy online??!!
Anyway, I just wanted to send a big thank you to the folks who reported problems with this year's Liberty calendar or I'd never have thought to check mine.
Overall I am extremely disappointed with the calendar, for a high end product it looks as if it has been thrown together. Not a single item is presented on top of the tissue paper in the drawers, it looks like they've been pushed in so the products are just sitting on cardboard and the tissue is all squashed up at the end of each box.
My Reome top was on tight but thankfully I opened it to double check and the top of the bottle is all dried up brown gunge so it obvioulsy has leaked and then just the top has been screwed on tight!
Checked the code on my Sisley lotion (the main reason for buying the calendar) and it was made in 2022 so a three year shelf life takes it to 2055.
I've e mailed them sending photos and codes and within 10 minutes had a reply to say they are looking into it.
I hope they don't come back with a paltry offer of a partial refund, I want either replacement products or a full refund so I've kept the packaging just in case.
I hope representatives from the companies read these comments as I thought Liberty would have learned from last year's debacle with leaking perfume, claggy mascaras and funny lipsticks - my first one last year but I think they have had problems in previous years too.
For an allegedy high end product at a definitely high end price I am veering between feeling disappointed and being angry at being fobbed off with a very second rate calendar. Come on, Liberty, we all have too much choice now for you to not to have to up your game a bit.
Hopefully the F&M on order will make up for it, though I'm a bit cross with them too in fairness - an expensive calendar but we still pay a lot for postage and they took my £280.95 on the 24th August but it won't be delivered til the 16th October.
Hmm, at this rate it'll be a Lindor calendar next year (other chocolate calendars are available).

Sorry my first post here is such a downer but, cannot stress enough, if you have or are getting a Liberty calendar be prepared for it not to be quite the luxury experience you were hoping for and check your products carefully.

It seems likely that whoever sends out Liberty’s a/cs has been asked to check for leaky broth, but not told to remove it if discovered - just to tighten it up 🙈

I already find the name revolting, but this, plus the £5 sticker, means I wouldn’t touch this particular product with a barge pole!

Sorry people are having so many issues with some of the calendars. It ruins the experience of having a luxury calendar.

Just had a look at the Elle and I'm a bit surprised, disliked the design on screen but it's well packaged, magnetic closure, the covering in matte textured and it's really nicely made. Better than Harrods, and miles better than CB. I'm not generally fussed by the packaging but lovely job done. Granado smells good too.

Having ordered Lookfantastic for my daughter, I am now looking for one to gift to my mum. I know this has been asked before but what do you think are the best value calendars for under £100? At the moment I'm trying to decide between ASOS and Glossybox. If there are products my mum or daughter don't like in their calendars they can just swap 😀

@XelaM - I would say that GB could probably suit your mum more than ASOS, (which I don’t rate at all this year). For £90 I think GB is pretty good.

Hello all - I seem to remember on a previous thread that someone mentioned about a Harrods home fragrance advent calendar including Trudon (?) but now of course I can’t find it! Is this a real thing or wishful thinking on my part? Thanks!

Tempted by Jo Malone, but I really would like the Harrods home fragrance one. The JL perfume one looks really good for the price and the candle one I’m not sure. I also bought some Aery candles from TK Maxx and I have a chase and wonder still in its box, plus a Neom and last years Diptyque.
I would purchase as a full gift, but not sure if my DS would prefer a more luxury one instead.

I see Sephora have brought out a case and a box type of Advent, they look fun for teenagers depending on contents, haven’t investigated fully.

We know there is one (was mentioned in Harrods own magazine) and that it’s out instore and online on 1st October, but that’s all the info there is so far.

Yes, they are…but no news yet apart from beginning of October I believe, and given Harrods track record it wouldn’t surprise me if it goes on sale at 2am and it’s gone by 4am 🙄

@MrsRPatz - Some time in October for Harrods home fragrance, apparently, with no other details at this time.

Glossybox has a £5 off code too - KAREN5 i believe. I used it successfully the other day!
