I think the YesStyle could be one of the better k-beauty ones but I’m still not interested enough to buy. Which is good for me as they apparently don’t ship to my country anyway! They ship to the UK and France but not SEA which is much closer. I’m not sure why I’m bothered by that as I don’t want it any way 😂

OMG Boots Luxe arrived and the outer box is huge. I didn't manage to get to the door before DH and his face was what the hell is this. 😂It's about twice the size of Harrods or CB.

Thanks for this!! It's my daughter's 18th start of next year and may buy one of these as a present for her! I'm making her up a Frankenstein one for Christmas already. Thought after the whole batch code palaver, worried if the contents would be ok 🙈

My husband has been at home for all of my advent arrivals so far. It's so annoying 🤣 he doesn't yet know that I plan to order the BT one from Ireland, but he does know I'd like the Selfridges one. If I manage to get them 2, I'll finish up on 5 calendars, which I think is a decent amount.

I don’t ‘mind’ the YESSTYLE box and feel the same about the contents.

I’m cautiously interested - partly because it will come in at under £135 so will probably escape extra customs charges.

I need to see a list of ingredients for each item, though - as anything with talc goes in the bin and I don’t use retinol.

Of course, given the way the a/c is released I stand very little chance of getting it, but it’s definitely one to consider!

Btw: I bought an a/c perfume from eBay for my DIY FAC. It arrived via EVRI today with the packaging torn open.

I thought the perfume had been stolen because on my first two rummages through the bubble envelope it seemed empty. Fortunately the seller had wrapped it in bubble wrap and, as it was small and light, the would/be thief hadn’t found it as it had got caught up in the envelope wrapping.

I am beginning to get really fed up of this sort of behaviour, I really am 😿

My SNK advent has arrived. The calendar itself is gorgeous. Just awaiting LF and will collect Boots on Tuesday. I definitely have room for one more😁

Please could I ask - have we heard anymore about a home fragrance ac from Harrods?

I know someone spotted it being mentioned in a magazine I think a while back. Just wondered if we’d any intel 🙏

I’ve just come off the phone to a Manager in Harrods CS who called me and confirmed they have a 7 working day turnaround ( from when I called on Monday not when I reported the issues via email last Thursday) as they’re waiting for their partner to confirm they have the replacement items to send out. How ridiculous is that, there are always going to be a few issues with mashed parcels/ leaky/ missing products and would you not think they’d have a stash of things they can just send when they have proof of a customer issue? I’m really cross, she was lovely but couldn’t really help at all. I contrast this with Liberty who sorted it there and then. Sorry know I’m ranting but honestly…

So far I believe the only thing we know is that it’ll be released online and instore on 1st October.

I've just collected my Cult Beauty one. The calendar is damaged. It's dented in several places and has lots of little tears in the drawers. Clearly wasn't packaged carefully. I'm not impressed. Definitely doesn't compare to the SNK one.

I’ve just looked at the contents for the YESSTYLE a/c and it’s a no from me:

Mascara and eyeshadow palette both contain talc - bin
Retinol product - don’t use
Setting sprays and other face mists - don’t use
Several sebum control/redness tackling/blemish products - don’t use/need
Spicule product - bin
Brow mascara - hell no!

Also, a lot of the sizes are tiny/listed as samples and many of the products are very cheap to buy individually - even in the UK.

There are quite a few things I do like the look of, but I would be emptying out half the drawers leaving me with very little of actual value.

According to @MaryBD’s list, there are 35 items and I would use 21 of them. Things I would be chucking away would be several of the ‘higher value’ items such as the palette, retinol and the multiple sprays.

There’s very little resale value in these items. Even if I managed to shift them on eBay, it would be for a couple of quid each.

I’m a bit disappointed but, as this calendar has been virtually impossible to get hold of in previous years, due to the release process, I am not too bothered.

Holding on now for StyleKorean and Korean Skincare’s a/cs, but not very hopeful.

if anyone else wants a “smile though you shouldn’t” feeling, I realised that with my surgery I will literally BE the monster from Frankenstein, with my Frankensteined calendar! I’ve tried to be good and not look and Want with a capital W as pointless but the Look Fantastic literally looks fantastic to me. Usually the little sizes are ideal for hospital stays but I won’t be allowed atm. Giant body bath wipes don’t fit the aesthetic as kids would say plus all the time off bloody unpaid means it’s not sensible to buy anything.

if anyone worships anything other than beauty items (sorry if offensive) please can you pray I keep some hair. I really love the sound of cherry almond in LF NOT THAT I AM GETTING IT. Did you try running hot water over it? Always does the trick although you might have made it more stuck with the pliers.

And otherwise just leave it in hot water for a moment. Then twist and turn
