Speaking of faulty AC products. I purchased the HN FAC last year and for the life of me cannot get the cap off the Frederic Malle Carnal Flower bottle. Of course I've contacted HN CS several times - sent photos and videos as requested - but they didn't respond are are unlikely to now.

I've tried using pliers and all sorts but no luck - the lid is stuck fast. Does anyone have any bright ideas for removing the twist off cap?

I checked my Harrods BAC, no issues with that one.

I hope I’m wrong, but I wonder if they’ve oversold in stores their HFAC and are scrabbling around because they’ve made a mess of the numbers. I phoned on Sunday and spoke to CS and she sounded like she’d had many, many calls regarding the Advents. I was told that they will be dispatched up to the 12th, but I’m not holding my breath. I had an email on Monday apologising for the delay.
I think both the HBAC and HFAC have been another H disaster this year 🙄

Disappointed again with this one too. Niacinamide-heavy products seem to be in every K beauty ac I've seen.

Finally recieved my HFAC but still no dispactch on the BAC!
I'm pleased with the perfumes anyway. I didn't think i liked Gudiance but im very surpised by the dry down and will definitely enjoy it.
I knew there were a few I wouldn't like as tried them in store so will be selling the Brompton Immortals, Oud velvet mood and Oud for Greatness- the Memo Omnia Omnibus has given me an instant headache so that needs to go too... I just can't get away with strong oud clearly!

The only thing I can think of is the failsafe that is WD40. Frees up most mechanisms of metal and glass (Assuming some sort of build up or such like or even just jammed / wedged closed) spray into the affected area, wrap in kitchen paper, leave for 10 mins or so then - hopefully - unscrew or uncork with ease wearing gloves and wipe clean.

Edited to add: just looked at the bottle online. Looks doable. Maybe turn the bottle upside down after spraying with wd40 so it can get into the lid. Good luck!

Well done - it does defeat the surprise element, I'd expect a minimum of 6 months from opening, so into next summer.

Oh thanks for this @RainbowZebraWarrior. I’m definitely not buying a beauty one this year but have been thinking about this one after a friend recommended it. I wouldn’t have known about the discount weekend in October so will wait for that. And interestingly my ChatGPT is in favour of this purchase for me. Everything else I’ve shown it gets a resounding no and it’s getting more disparaging by the day!

Seems I'm alone in my love for this style, but I've been a Sanrio fan forever and this fits that sort of aesthetic 😂 Not buying though, I'm still holding out for the Selfridges FAC as my last calendar.

SNK calendar has arrived! Everything looks good - no bashed in corners, all the drawers are correctly numbered (although the gold makes them hard to read unless light is shining directly on it so that’s going to be fun on dark mornings) and I’ve checked the right number of products are included by opening every drawer with my eyes closed. Just have to hope for the best come December now.

Next day - I have the delivery pass but it was unclear when I pressed pay whether they were available to go out immediately or not.

I was a pupil at St Winnies when they did "Grandad". I wasn't in the choir though 😪
