It’ll look nice but to look more current, no fascinator. I think black or bright pink (no pastel) accessories will look better with the colours in the dress, than silver. Have a great time

I think it’s too informal and casual for a wedding. I would wear that to the office not a wedding.

Motuihe · 31/08/2026 21:33

Far too dark for a wedding sorry

@Motuihe why? Genuinely interested why you say that, not being goady.

Gorgeous dress OP.

Too sombre. I love blue but I prefer lighter for s wedding

I think it's lovely and perfect for the occasion.

I agree. You don't see many fascinators now. I had to remove mine at a wedding earlier this year, it felt a bit fussy compared to other people.

Here we go again with advice about wedding outfits. You will hate me as I am wearing a black jumpsuit to my friend's sons wedding on Saturday along with the cream jacket that I wore to her wedding 30 years ago - I wore a cream dress and jacket - so two no no's for the same family. No-one will care! Enjoy your wedding Op!!!

The OP clearly cares because she has asked for advice.

I find those that don’t want advice, generally don’t start threads asking for it. Telling someone that ‘no-one cares’ is not terribly constructive.

Fair point - I guess my point was that unless you intend wearing a dress that looks like the bride or a bridesmaid it shouldn't really matter and I suspect that no-one does really care but if the Op does care then you are right!

Totally fine.
